Never say NO to Pullman Miri Waterfront when I come to stay in Miri, Actually I book on the Accor All App at 5:50pm and get instant confirmation. During im check in at lobby about 6:30pm, They have upgrade to Suits Room on 22 Floor. All done and have my room-key ready in 10 min.

Our room on an executive floor was big but very empty. It didn’t even have a hair dryer. . The bathroom was very slippery, laid with large ceramic tiles without a bath mattress. Poor lighting. Good room view overlooking South China Sea and Piasau. The executive lounge was a floor up. Huge and quite nicely finished. But only one staff worked there. No biscuits or peanuts. No afternoon tea. Just three can of soft drink in the fridge. Cocktail food and drink were scarce. Front desk staff and concierge staff were nice and helpful. The lobby was big and nice. No priority for executive floor guests. I was very surprised why Pullman didn’t maintain it as it had had in West Malaysia and other countries, Kuching Pullman was the same. I have stopped staying it for years.

Fell short of expectations that I had. Many things were broken or spoilt in my room. Toiletries were erratic and not standardised across days. The steam room was not in operation during the 6 days I stayed and the sauna closed promptly at 9 pm. Could have been lovely but the room in such poor upkeep let me down.

Stayed for 3 nights , it was high occupancy.. I did not expect Pullman hotel n such poor amenities and services. The good side: Check in and out was fast Room was spacious Wi-Fi was stable The bad side: -We are shocked to see the bed condition : 1) The bed was in messed as we check in (ad if someone came and sleep on the bed before us) 2) the come with two set of pillow , one is too hard the other more like throw pillow than sleeping pillow , we asked for extra pillow (hoping to get an exchange) but waited two days until we check out- no respond at all. (See photo) 3) bed linen got stain (see photo) 4) comforter wear off (see photo) 5) pantry cabinet full of dust , asked for housekeeping while we went out for lunch (purposely open pantry door) hut came back , pantry still full of dust (untouched); Very bad experience staying in Pullman waterfront.

3 stars for the operation and availability of its in-room amenities; its availability of various facilities; eg: swimming pool, gym, spa etc, it's cleanliness and overall ambience... It's lacking in terms of customer service and relations, not friendly at all, apparently too preoccupied with own paperwork or work related responsibility. Staff did not even bother to acknowledge guests' presents and offer any form of assistance and no alternatives being offered of any unavailability of certain products or services. FO dept experience during check-in was a total disappointment, with no related information being explained to guests. Simply rejected any form of requests without offering alternatives and simply updating incurred costs in relation to late checkout. Concierge dept staff did better and offered relevant information for first-time guests like myself, and felt the sincerity and concerns in listening and attending to guests' queries and requests. Even they managed to throw sincere smiles each and every time during interaction. Kudos 👏 to Concierge Team. The most exemplary staff to be complimented during my stay this time at Pullman Miri Waterfront goes to Mr Daniel D Melai, at the L7 Splash Bar. He had discharged his work responsibility and commitments in a very professional way and just by having open conversations, yet felt the sense of being at home, away from home, through his commendable hospitality efforts. I was totally impressed by his service recovery efforts in trying his very best to win the hearts of disappointed guests like myself at the point of time. Personally, I would have rated Pullman Miri Waterfront, a deserved 5 star rated hotel establishment, through service recovery by Mr Daniel and service relations by the Concierge Team, but the disappointment still stand strong as it takes a collective effort from all dept heads and staff to make all the guests felt comfortable and enjoy the experience of being at home, away from home. My expectation of service standards from all dept staff is extremely high due to the establishment being rated as 5 star, and honestly believed this can be achieved if all dept staff from mgmt to operational level had one mission, and that is to achieve guests' loyalty towards its brand name. To Mr Daniel and Concierge Team, I personally would love to convey my heartfelt gratitude for my stay at your establishment, in which, had created fond memories 👏🫶🙏.

Food at the Executive Lounge is NOT labelled. One has to guess what they are eating!! The hotel management needs to understand that people have food prefernces and need to know Informed Bee Bee at the counter about this, but nothing was done.

I really enjoyed staying at Pullman Miri. This is the latest hotel (2023) in town. The wifi’s stable and the room I stayed in (standard room only) is spacious. I was lucky that I got a room with a sea view although I didn’t make any remark. The receptionists, bartenders, waitresses and janitors are friendly; they made my journey in Miri more memorable. From my point of view, it’s not necessary to buy their breakfast as there are many eateries around. Time Square (the latest landmark) is in a walking distance (however you need to know how to cross the road as it isn’t pedestrian friendly in Miri). The infinity pool’s awesome. I saw some kids having their swimming lesson there which means this hotel works well with the community. I highly recommend this hotel as with this price, you can never find such a great 5-star hotel in the world! PS: tax is requested in this hotel if you aren’t a Malaysian citizen. However, I didn’t get taxed when I was in KL before going to Miri). Not sure if it’s this hotel or if there are some differences between province and province.

Stayed in a club floor sea view room with very nice waterfront scenery. The room was well maintained and clean but had a bit of stale smell. However, the hotel staff was quick to respond with deodorizer when informed . The other fault is the aircon vent built on top of the bath room long bath area. The running of the aircon created strong uncomfortable echo noise in the bathroom. Enjoyed the club lounge services and food. I liked especially the Sarawak Laksa served in breakfast. Overall, enjoyed the stay.

Bad communucation by hotel as we arrived to what can only be described as a market event area. Dragged our bags through to reception as the foyer and parking area ourside were full of stalls. Microphones blaring and not what we expected. Privelidged welcome at Accor desk non existant and although we opted for a quick check in it didnt happen. Tried to enjoy our welcome drink but it was too noisy. King executive room was spacious with no carpets which was good. Luckily, we had access to the quieter excutive lounge loung to escape and relax away from the busy noisy foyer. Girls were very helpful and food was ok, but eggs and salmon breakfast was cold when served and poached egg runny as a marathon. Will opt to eat in main area tomorrow so we can at least watch eggs being cooked. The swim pool area was devoid of any sun beds which was disapointing - again replaced me thinks by the band equipment that was set up. If we had known this event was on we likely would have chosen another hotel Lets hope Kutching is better.

Fantastic service. Polite staff. Lounge is amazing. Rooms are stunning. The king bed is the biggest I’ve seen and so comfortable. Loved our stay. Will definitely be back. Food in the restaurant is very good. The Maitre De was very welcoming and made you feel really special.
