Pros: - Walking distance to Bintang plaza. - Jalan Setia Raja has less traffic. Noise pollution from traffic isn't an issue. - Good for short stay, basic amenities available. - Black out curtains. - Boss is proactive. (follow up with me to refund me, for over charge). Neutral (not an issue for me): - TV are local channels. - Water pressure a bit weak. - You can hear sounds from the hallway. Not idea for sleeping late into the day. Having a room at the end of the hallway, would be better. - Wifi signal weak, if you are at the end of the hallway. Cons: - Staff on site, has poor customer service skills. So guest should pay attention to check what is in your hotel voucher, to avoid overpaying, Also remember to collect your deposit, don't rely on the staff to remember to do it. My experience: I stayed 1 night. There is a lack of onsite parking (4-5 car spaces that wouldn't risk blocking any cars parked at the back of the property). If you prefer not to risk being disturbed to move your car, and you either need to leave your car at limited space at front of the property (its a first come first serve basis), or make do with free on-street parking along the Jalan Setia Raja. As I was the first guest to check in for the day, I opted to just leave my car at 2pm till the next morning. I rearrange my day's plan: walk to Bintang plaza to spend my time there for the whole afternoon. Plan for a late dinner, using grab to the restaurant of my choice, before using Grab to return to the hotel and have an early night. I wasn't going to have to risk being left with free street parking option. During check out, I almost forgot to collect my deposit, receptionist didn't not issue receipt during check in ( and I forgot to request). During check out, receptionist also dont' remember to proactively return my deposit, I have to remind them. I also paid tax twice ( charged by agoda, then also charged by hotel receptionist), because hotel receptionist didn't check the booking details. After I left, I realize this mistake, so I called the hotel, left my contact number left with receptionist, as they needed to verify double charge. No follow up from hotel staff at all. Separately I reached out to Agoda about the double tax situation. Unfortunately the hotel owner also have communication breakdown from Agoda. Agoda provide the wrong contact info: Another hotel guest (same first and last name, different booking ID, different agoda account) to follow up with refund. It is by chance that the other hotel guest and I are acquainted, so the boss could finally contact the right person. It took about 5 days from the date of check out, until the hotel owner could contact me directly to make things right. He took note of the feedback between me and the other hotel guest's experience. Will I stay here again - it depends on what are my travel plans in the city & room price, but I will make sure I take precaution as the staff behavior wasn't acceptable. Hopefully by the time I return to stay, staff behavior would have improved satisfactorily.

Very BAD 👎. condition room very dirty, moldy, dusty and toilet very smell and dirty yellow mud everywhere, even petrol station toilet much cleaned. Request toilet liquid cleaner from receptionist, they ask to collect at lobby, force then later on they sent the cleaning tools for self cleaning. 1st experince stay hotel and I have to clean the toilet for my comfort stayed. No toilet paper. No lift. Stay at 3rd floor. Any request guest must go down to collect at receptionist and staff not presentable DON'T GET CHEATED shared PHOTOS from Hotel staff you will regret for whole lifetime

We wanted a clean budget hotel for 2 night rest. It served just right to our needs. Comfy bed, spacious room and most importantly, a very clean bathroom ( newly reno). No hot drinking water provided though

Pretty good for the price paid. Hotel rooms and lobby look like they've been recently renovated. Rooms are modern and very clean with good AC. Appreciate the room safes and hair dryer as well, both not usually something you get at this price range. Location is good, it's a very short walk to various food places nearby, less than 10 minutes walk to both main shopping malls and basically just across from the handicraft centre. Anything 'further' is only a cheap Grab ride away. Would stay again. 👍 Wifi is ok, more than adequate for Web browsing and checking emails.

The place is pretty well maintained, and the rooms are clean. WIFI didn't work well on the first floor, but not a big deal when the shower and sheets are clean. The location is walking distance from everything essential in Miri city center, and it is in a quite road. Depending on the room, you may ear some noise from the place the ext door. I this there is a laundry services, but it gets quite by 10pm.

This is like a brand new hotel and seems to be under new management. I stayed here before when it was under a different name and management. The new management seems to be more professional. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Everything is brand new which is a good change from the old hotel. I like the fact that they provide a safe in the room. The bed was comfy so I had a good night sleep. The location was great too. Just a short walk to the main shopping mail.
