In this Hotel, there is a Chinese Restaurant Name GOLDEN RESTAURANT. Secretly this hidden low profile restaurant served Very Good Chinese food. Pork Leg, Fried Chicken is their signature. The food here are Best Thumbup!! And the price is consider Best Value for Money. Very worth eating if you are here. Careless of the environment of the restaurant although not a 3 star but it is clean and cosy. You will love the food first.

Hotel is located next to busy Jalan Brooke, can be quite noisy if you intend to sleep-in. A number of restaurants & coffee shops surrounding the hotel offering chinese food. Not too many entertainment outlets near hotel, Pelita area is about 1.5km away with more fun for a nite out.
Room is a bit run-down, doesn't smell too nice with cheap carpet full of stains and cigarrette burn marks. Bathroom has a bathtub with no seperate shower. Tub is old with some stains.

We needed to stay over night at Miri as we had an early appointment the next day. We did not booked ahead and not knowing the accommodation situation in Miri we decided to walk-in. To our dismay, all the rooms within the city shopping area are over RM350/- which I felt were over priced for unknown brand hotels. We finally came across this place. Although it has seen it's glory days, but the place is well kept. The beds were firm and the aircon was working well. For a place to sleep over a night, it is a better option as it is one-third the price of the newer hotels. I have no complains as we had a good sleep.

All the staff have bad manner and bad attitude , it's just like they thought that they are the bossss when they sit on the fron desk.
And the bed sheet was quite dirty...and there is only few places for parking.

Clean and good ambience.

My aunts had arranged to have a family dinner here. The food was mostly quite good, but it was the billing attitude that I was very much unimpressed with.
Firstly, the food had not been itemised, making it very difficult to determined what was the correct total. When I asked for the itemised bill, they insisted it is correct. But then, when I hesitated, the person-in-charge then told me to go back to my table to wait. I settled the bill anyway but requested for the list of items anyway.
Food wise, the Buttermilk Prawns were really good, so was the Codfish lightly fried topped with fried garlic. The garlic small kai lan were slightly bland in taste.

The Gloria Hotel could be good value in its newer renovated rooms, but the unrenovated rooms at slightly less are fairly run-down for the price being asked. That said, they are also spacious with basic functioning amenities, hot water, wifi, television, basic furniture, and much more space than rooms available at a lower price point.
