The hotel is very near to Canada Hill. The hotel has seen better days. Decent room with tv but no channels . No fridge.
The Bath room has a washbasin and shower in the bath tub but no tap. There is no Comod shower which is a common thing in Asian hotels usually.
Biggest problem is there are no good place to eat nearby . You have to walk at least 800 meters to get a food court . There are 2 convenience store bang opposite the hotel.
The hotel staff is very poorly trained they have no idea about the neighbourhood and local sightseeing attractions.
Do visit Coco Cabana and Canada Hill for view .
No problem with the room, the TV channels is boring with local and a Chinese channel. Waste water pipe is noisy and can heard upstair flush or shower.
Aircon - ok
TV - ok, chinese channel no sound for few days.
Toiletries - ok, body wash only
Bed - ok, slight firm
Daily cleaning - ok
Reception counter - ok, friendly and help me rent car
Lift - ok, one broken down on 2nd day.
The staff is nice, room is clean. Warm shower (not hot). And due to some negative reviews here we skipped the restaurant all together.
The room was spotless, large comfy bed.
The location was good.
Breakfast wasnt the best, a limited choice of toast, omlette or noodles.
We ate in the brasserie in the evening and the food was quite good.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
There is a nice beer garden bar opposite the hotel.
If you are travelling by land to Brunei it is easier to book a taxi through the tourist information centre where they will book a driver to take you across the border and to your hotel - do not book with bus asia or other buses as they only take you up to the border,so you have to wait for a local bus to take you the rest of the way.
