Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
My room was situated at Block B, Level 3. The parking space in front of the block was obstructed with flower pots and it is quite hard to maneuver car to do reverse parking in rainy nights that i experienced. The entrance was on higher ground and need to go up staircase to go to my room. The room kinda okay just the bathroom was abit dirty and smells moldy. The bed sheets smells okay. Aircon was super cold. TV also functioning well.

Decent stay for a night. Comfortable. Just that there is no shampoo or soap for bathing and toothbrush and Colgate.. Just be prepared on that .. other than that is fine and comfortable. And one drawback.. difficult to find food around the area

Tired of staying at the hotel? Why not book a serviced apartment? This studio apartment comes with a mini kitchen, a small living area, and an en-suite toilet and bathroom. A fridge, a cooktop and basic utensils are provided. It's unfortunate that the television is located in the living area, and thus I can't watch television in bed! Housekeeping is carried out 3 times a week, and towels are changed every Mondays and Fridays.

On 17th December 2016, my family and I have stayed at Mciti Suites Miri for a night and we had booked 2 studio rooms through Booking.Com and we had enjoyed our stay then and decided to return again for the next trip.
I have called up Mciti Suites on 8th January 2017 at 7.26p.m and has been attended by Rafael. I have booked 3 bedrooms apartment over the phone and has asked for the price which has been quoted for RM250.00 PER NIGHT INCLUSIVE OF TAX. I agreed with the quoted price and asked if he has my previous information as I had stayed at the apartment before and he confirmed that he has my information from the previous stay.
We checked in on 14th January 2017 around 5 p.m and attended by senior age guy and during the check in process, I was surpirsed that he asked for deposit of RM500. I told him that I ever stayed at the apartment before and was never asked for deposit. He told me that it is their new policy being implemented to get deposit from the customers (regardless the method of booking i.e through Booking.Com or direct to Mciti Suites) and we proceeded with it.
We stayed for a night and checked out on 15th January 2017 around 15 mins before 12p.m and initially was attended by a young guy receptionist (his name could be Mansor as per the printed out invoice). About almost 15 mins waiting, he came back with receipt and asked how would I pay for the room and I opted for cash payment and he asked for RM399!. I was puzzled and ask why I am being charged for such amount? He told me that the price of the apartment that I have stayed is RM399 per night but I told him that I was being quoted by Rafael for RM250 ONLY AND THAT IS INCLUSIVE OF TAX.
Later Abdul Qadir came out from the office and told me the same thing and mentioned that Rafael could have quoted me the wrong price as he is the new part-timer working at Mciti Suites and that is why they have asked for RM500 deposit. If the room rate is RM399, why don’t they asked me a deposit of RM399 or RM798 (RM399 x 2)? Why the receptionist has only asked for RM500 which I assumed RM250 (price quoted initially) x 2!.
I told them that I cannot accept their excuses and even told them of my experience during the check in the day before. Qadir has told me that if I booked through Booking.Com, deposit will not be required which is totally different information given by the senior age receptionist. I have even asked them to retrieve back any recorded telephone conversation between myself and Rafael on 8th January but Qadir has informed me that phone conversation was not recorded thus I have no evidence of being quoted RM250 by Rafael. If you can see so far, I have received 2 DIFFERENT INFORMATIONS; FIRSTLY ON DEPOSIT POLICY and SECONDLY, ON ROOM PRICES PLUS THEY TRIED TO MANIPULATE THE SITUATION AND TRIED TO PUT ME DOWN BY STATING THAT I HAVE NO EVIDENCE!.
I started to feel unhappy with the service given by Qadir when he cut off my explanation and told me that if I did not pay the room by cash, he will deduct the payment from the credit card where the deposit has been processed. I told him that I do not have the problem to pay for the room but on the quoted price given by Rafael earlier. He has mentioned that he will be in trouble if he did not get RM399 as he is on duty on the checking out which I understood and agreed on because the mistake was done by Rafael I supposed. I did pay for the full amount requested and demand for the manager on duty however he has informed me that the manager was off duty. He ignored my request to call the manager and whatever I said after received the payment. I felt there is SEXIST TREATMENT just because I am a lady because FIRSTLY, HE DISRECPECT ME WHEN I WAS EXPLAINING ON MY EXPERIENCES THAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH and SECONDLY, IGNORING MY REQUEST.
After Qadir received the money from me, he has asked me to signed on their copy invoice and I have wrote a note at the bottom of the invoice that I am unhappy with the payment as I have been quoted for RM250 ONLY. I am intent to put the booking date and time by referring to the call history at my mobile but while I was scrolling for the history, Qadir has took the invoice without letting me finish off my note eventhough I have explained that I wanted to write down the booking date and time for reference.
I went to the car where my family has waited for me and explained to them of the delay. My family was unsatisfied with the treatment I have received from Qadir especially for not allowing me to finish off my note. Qadir has accused me in front of my family that I will take a picture of the invoice with the writen note. Now, I am challenging the management to playback the CCTV recording and see if I have been trying to take a picture as being accused by Qadir.
Norimah and one security guy has approached to the lobby area and we have explained to them of the situation. My another question now is why Qadir REFUSED to show to Norimah the invoice that I have signed with my note written on it when she requested it in front of us all?
My concern now is will the management get the signed invoice with my note? Since I am not sure if my complaints will reach the management as I have been put down earlier when Qadir said I have no record evidence, therefore I have to write this complaint letter and as a customer, I would like to know what seems to be wrong here?.

We booked quite late for a place to stay due to some emergencies & we requested for higher floor. A deposit of RM150 & quick check in. The studio was clean & everything was functional. The bed was comfortable & we had no complain. TQ for a pleasant stay

The studio king is affordable and nice to stay for the night. It has a mini pantry that includes a stove, a sink, cabinets filled with plates, knives-spoons-fork, mugs and glasses for indoor cook. We didn't feel it was necessary but it's good to have that option for next time. Instead we filled up the fridge with drinks.
Our view was facing the main road and at about 5pm, direct sunlight hits our room, through the windows and made the room super hot even with the air-con turned on to full. Had to close the curtains. We almost wanted to change rooms due to the heat but eventually, the room became cooler when during the night. Maybe not a big issue but it was still a good night to stay.
It had a balcony but there was no privacy because of the next building (Mciti Apartment) balcony was directly facing us.
Overall, it was still alright and affordable for those who wants a studio style room. The plus is that it has that mini pantry kitchen and also a living room area to watch TV as well as a dining table.

There were two of us so we rang before booking to make sure the 'One bedroom Apartment' had a separate bedroom and we were assured it did. On arrival the room is a single room with a couch, bed and small kitchen in a single room. Back at reception the staff just tried every angle to say it was not their fault. The staff member was confused. They didn't speak English (the conversation was with a Malay speaker). The booking website is wrong. The duty manager never answers their phone. We are not allowed to give yo a refund so you can go somewhere else. We cannot tell you how much to upgrade to a better room. The next morning I finally spoke to the manager when they decided to come to work (an hour later than I had been told) and got all the same excuses again. Finally got a refund for the remaining nights and left. The room I saw was basic but usable. The position is ok but not much else there. The management of the site is abysmal.

I would normally look out for a good comfy place to stay with my family for a short overnight place to stay in. This is a recommended place. Price, locatio and services are ok. Miri is a good place to chill out in this side of Sarawak. Closer to Brunei than Kota Kinabalu, with good exchange rate BD/RM that offers cheaper price for goods and services for Bruneian.
