I went there for social visit from 20 till 25 Sept 2020. While having time in bed, search for local tv channel but unfortune not available except ch8 mainly for chinese viewer language. While travelling to Indonesian or Thai, the local channel is a compulsory. Ajang Hotel please improve.
Fair prices with comfortable and clean no-frills rooms. No swimming pool or gyms facilities. Nearby convenience stores and a few eateries for convenience. for driver, Parking is available but is outdoors and not gated but there is a security guard at all times.
Booked this hotel looking at location. All other services are of very minimum standard. - Customer service: Adequate - room cleanliness- Good - room condition - Poor - Room service - good -Location- Excellent -Shower - Excellent Note: Breakfast is only served in rooms so you can imagine the impact. You need to tell what you want (noodles or Mee) as this is the only choice available. Rooms are hygienic, water underneath the tiles in the bathroom. Moulds all around. This hotel really needs some work. I would have left the hotel while checking in however I had already paid via Agoda and it was not refundable I thought of experiencing. Hotel is in very good location and ample open parking space. You will be woken up in the morning with plenty of clock alarms. May be people getting ready for their room service breakfast. …
Went over to Miri, Sarawak for a show and client put us up in this hotel. Now I am a person who loves my sleep (as I get very less) but I was impressed with this hotel. Close to many restaurants and bar Rooms are clean Bathroom is a bit small (I am a big man) Bed comfy Breakfast can be delivered to you! They have packed noodles or rice which I find amazingly unique Overall, no complaints but all thumbs up!
Came to Miri for a two days program. Been referred by organizer to stay here. Nice clean practical room with good price. Unique since this is the 1st hotel that send breakfast to room instead of buffet. Overall a good bargain.
I was enjoy the staying with this hotel and its a nice and clean hotel with good price. Located at town which easy to access to shopping malls, cafe, beach side, etc. For the breakfast included while you booking, the breakfast is provide by staff to send to your door step with some of asian food choice.
Comfy and clean room. Still look new. Hotel provide free parking tickets. Safe and secured parking. Close to eateries - korean, indonesian, seafood, pizzas. 24 hour convenient store nearby. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Hassle free check in and check out. Convenient store at lobby. Hotel has elevator.
Please be careful with their words. "You can park your car in front of the hotel." Yes, you can. But what they didn't tell you is, you need to additional purchase the parking coupons. As the parking area is not own by them. I didn't knew this and found a stack of penalty/fine papers for didn't display the parking coupons. Based on the info provided, Parking officer or ticket officer will rounding the area for maybe every half an hour. Each time they will issue a new penalty/fine paper if you didn't display the parking coupon. I am not exactly sure how the parking coupon works, but based on the info given, there are half hour coupon and an hour coupon. In simple, if you park your car for 12 hours, you need 24 half hour coupons or 12 an hour coupons. To those familiar with this might not be a problem, as you just need to add the hotel cost and parking coupon cost to get the total price for staying there. But to those who doesn't know about this, the penalty / fine can be as high as few hundreds or thousands depend on how many penalty/fine paper you get …
Friendly staff. Rooms are a bit small but clean and quiet. And there is enough space to store your stuff, even a big safe. The hotel has no restaurant but there is ample choice in the area. Also for breakfast. Walking distance to city center and shopping area. To get to the airport you can easily order a Grab.
If you googled good food in Miri, you would find that there are several choices near this hotel and they were all excellent! Room wise was very functional, lots of shelves and drawers in good use. Ajang is a tribal name and I like the pattern they adapt as the bed cover, I wish the owner would stick to the aboriginal theme as the decor of the entire hotel. I really don't care about the Chinese theme in the lobby. Of course during the Lunar New Year, some Chinese touch is nice, but the furniture is too dark and heavy, it's just ugly!
