Have stayed at this hotel several times over the years. With covid restrictions they ended up having to reduce their staff numbers and maintenance of the hotel has been lacking. Rooms are outdated and need a revamp. The golf course has been closed which is a real shame but understandable with the current situation. Restaurants and breakfast is basic.

Stayed twice between Sept & Nov 2021. Staff are friendly & welcoming especially at receptionist Hafizi Ramli & Suhaisafra. Everytime i called the front desk for requesting stuff the respond will be immediate. During stayed on Sept at lvl 6 facing swimming pool the housekeeping was great and fast response. This trip Nov stayed at lvl3 facing tennis court the housekeeping was poor. Totally different compare to previous stayed.

The resort is really quiet especially after a day of business meeting. The buffet breakfast, a spread of local and international dishes, is really good.
The room was tastefully furnished and quiet. The walkway to 7th floor rooms overlooks the lobby and the balcony faces the swimming pool and the beach.

When I book this hotel, and make a call to confirm with them, they said the breakfast is buffet style. After I came, they said it is served. still, I am ok with that.
but when we enter the restaurant, we are not even have any options for our breakfast other than it is nasi dagang and orange juice. even egg we cant have.
such a big hotel, with a high price on its room, only serve one menu to us.
The swimming pool only open for 3 hours per time. other facilities are not open.
A very regretful trip to here.

Its hidden gem as not many people know about this location Kijal and Hotel. Pros: 1) On 1 side it has Golf course and mountain while on otherside it has vast sea. So other big building or hotel near it, so as far you will see is natural beauty. 2) It has private beach, so quite clean and peaceful. Since beach not crowded, good place for children to play with social distancing. 3) Lunch and Dinner have some vegetarian option. 4) TV has some English channels and 1 dedicated disney channels for kids. 5) Resort building and rooms look quite old but well maintained and clean with all Covid SOP followed. 6) Almost all rooms have view however sea view is obstructed by big trees , so its partial view. Sunrise from beach worth watching.
Cons: 1) Complimentary Breakfast is not buffet due to SOP followed so they have fixed menu so very limited 4-5 options specially no vegetarian option in main menu. Only have some fruits and Salad which was side dish.

The room itself was spacious and the environment in the room gives you a sense of calmness. I love the idea of bathtub/jacuzzi in the space of the bedroom. Enjoyed to the max. I just wished that they did not remove the room service as not all of us would have the time to visit eateries out there.

First, this place is massive, so was excited at the start.
Check in was easy but then the women lied to me which just ruined my experience.
I am a gold member on hotels.com and therefore allowed to have a free upgrade when available. The receptionist lied and said there were no free rooms available for upgrade because they are fully booked
I then asked a few other workers and they said they are not fully booked. Like seriously? Your going to lie to me because you dont want to give me what im entitled to? So guys, if your reading this. Dont come here thinking your going to get honesty. If they lie about this what else do they lie about?
Anyway, on to the room. Its very old fashion and not modern. They have not renovated anything probably since 1995. So room is rubbish. Big but rubbish.
AC doesnt really work and the have one of those ceiling fans which doesnt really work. It doesnt spin fast enough to give any cooling.
Other than the receptionist. The workers are nice and helpful
To conclude: definitely not worth the money. How are they charging as if they are a top hotel when really its a pretty grim hotel. Dont come here if your looking for modern hotel. If your looking for a old school 90’s room and hotel then this is for you

The customer service is very bad except that the receptionist, Nadhirah is very friendly and helpful. The price of the room is very expensive, considering that the room does not include breakfast. The interior is quite old. For the price per night given, I will not come back here in future. Not worth at all. The bellboy & housekeeping are good. Except the customer service is bad.

The grand ballroom is big enough to accommodate 300+ people. The restaurant is serving variety of food and beverage. The facility is well equipped with modern amenities to have big events including large parking space. In front of South China Sea with nice beach inside the resort.

Actually that’s not true …. The pool is nice and is good for laps but otherwise it’s a really bad hotel.
Room - old, tired, shower with poor pressure but decent bed. AC didn’t work properly and noisy and bugs coming under the door.
Decor everywhere old and tired.
Beach bar food just awful and guy had the cheek to say ‘I’ll go check’ when I charged the lousy burger to my room
Check in / out slow and unfriendly, staff generally didn’t care.
This is a hotel slowly falling into disrepair running at about 30% occupancy with services to match.
Best avoided but likely the only choice in the area ?

Its 34km from this resort,Turtle santuary is near Cherating.You can ask from the reception in advance.Need to book in advance for that for hasslefree trip.Have a safe trip.
