We went Hari Raya, this chalets suitable for big group travelling. Chalets are clean, with aircond and water heater. It also provides big kitchen for self cooking. Owner is helpful, things have well prepare before we arrived. Best!
This place is run by Ms Lee, single mother of 2 beautiful kids. She is friendly and ever helpful. Just ask her for any info and help, she will help if she can. She graciously helped in taking care of our 2 kids (who didn't want to join us snorkeling) for a day and even fed them lunch. (Thanks, Ms Lee!) The chalet is located just a short walk from the pontoon. On the chalet, all of us took aircond chalets which came with 2 queen-sized bed. It is pretty basic but came with attached bathroom and water heater, as well as towels and soap. The chalets were generally clean (my skin will be the first to scream if it is not) but we were not able to control the aircond temperature which have been set at pretty low temperature...brrrr..... We enjoyed waking up to squirrels scurrying around and monkeys on the trees watching us as we watch them. Ms Lee also allows her guest to use the common kitchen to cook or boil water which is a plus for family or big group. You can even have BBQ!. If you are not up to cooking, there are plenty of cafes for you to check out - one being next door (Tuna Bay Resort restaurant - more expensive option) and the other being Cocohut Cafe which offers a wide range of menu. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Ayumni though I got to admit that this place could use some upgrades.…
Little chalet with fan was lovely and clean. Mrs Lee is very friendly and helpful. No restaurant in hotel, but you can use the large kitchen and buy noodles or tea etc at the shop. Place is much cheaper than many in the area. Mrs lee responded quickly to whatsapp messages. No electricity after 9am until 6pm, which isn't an issue if you are out most of the day. Wifi not very strong and intermittent. Three restaurants in the cove that have bbq choices for evening meal on top of menu choices. Good beach for snorkling and you can hike 10 mins to coral beach. Taxis are readily available everywhere with prices marked on boards. Snorkling trips go every day.
Avoid this place! The cabins do not have sufficient flooring so insects come up easily into the rooms. There are cockroaches and some rats as the place is dirty. Limited-no electricity during the daytime. Very bad value (RM180 Aircon room per night) would not recommend. Consider Abdul's Chalets: just down the beach very reasonable, clean, proper windows flooring bathroom etc.
It's worth for 2 stars. The heater got problems so we just try to keep switching on and off;you can't adjust the temperature of aircond. The bedroom has 8 beds but only one toilet luckily there is only me and my friend during those days! Wifi is broken those days too :(
