Arrived as guests, left as friends. Beach box is a cosy boutique hotel consisting of 9 rooms only. First floor room views are worth the amount paid. Best to bring own bottles for drinking water refill ( helps with environment too by reducing virgin plastic usage) . Bottles of water are placed in each room & once finish, just exchange the empty bottles for new drinking ones at the bar/dining area. Dining at beach box is finger licking good. Breakfast is included in room rate, while one can choose full board ( lunch & dinner) or half board ( either lunch or dinner only) on daily basis. Guests from other hotels can also dine here but both inhouse Beachbox guests & other hotels guest needs to pre-book lunch or dinner in advance ( at least the day before). BB team are small in numbers but mighty. The whole place inclusive food&beverages , room cleaning , etc.. was handled when we were there , by 7 pax ( Nico, Yuen, Mou, Sue, Cindy , Halim & another malay chap) . The crew treats each guest well like friends with advice on where else to eat on island, to water activities & hiking over to Mama’s chalet. The best place to chill on a hot afternoon to viewing sunset would have to be at BeachBox deck. Looking forward to staying at Beach Box again!

Had a very laidback and enjoyable stay in Beach Box. The room was very clean and comfortable, equipped all the basic amenities.

The team running the place are very friendly - aways striking conversations with guests & ensuring that everything’s ok.

Particularly loved the location of the hotel, tucked in a quieter corner with a good sea view (& the sunset especially) - good spot for a meal and drink. Food at the hotel’s restaurant is great too - breakfast is freshly made, upon order.

The location surrounding the hotel is also a good spot for snorkelling, we spotted some pretty corals and fishes.

Will definitely make another trip to Perhentian and Beach Box :)

Beachbox Perhentian checked all the boxes for warm hospitality, delicious food, clean environment, cosy rooms and character. For those looking for good food, be sure to order their burgers as the Chef makes one of the best patties in town!
Also, one thing that draws BeachBox Perhentian apart from other hotels is how environmentally-friendly it is and we applaud their efforts in conserving nature. We highly recommend this place for those looking for a memorable holiday at Perhentian and be sure to try out their activities to appreciate the wonders of the island.
We will be back again, for sure!

We arrive late in the day. Nico and staff greet us and take our luggage from the boat to the hotel. We relax on the veranda and our complementary beverage this time is a fresh chilled coconut. There is a slight breeze and waves wash up on the shore in front of us. Clear blue water and puffy cotton ball clouds over other islands in the distance. It is such a pleasant and relaxing feeling – it’s like coming home again. Come for the comfortable room, accommodations and beautiful surroundings – definitely stay for the food!
Nico is a master chef and every meal is a delightful and tasty pleasure. A unique mix of local and international flavours that no recipe or cookbook can imitate, each dish is expertly prepared and presented.
We planned to stay for 3-4 days....we kept extending into the following week because it is so pleasant and hard to say good bye.
There will be a next time.

Nico the owner, and his team Nick and Nina went out of their way to ensure my group and I had the best trip. The resort itself was easy to get to after taking the boat from Kuala Besut. The rooms itself were so much better value for money in comparison to the rest of the islands in Perhentian. The look of the rooms were modern, smelled super fresh and clean, and had a nice balcony facing the ocean. Now what makes Beach Box better than the rest is undoubtedly the service and the food. Compared to the rest of the island that has pretty mediocre food, the breakfast and dinner here were delicious and super value for money. Our meals were all catered to our friends who were vegetarian as well, and they went out of their way to make super delicious food available for them. Thanks so much again guys! We’ll be back soon!

It was my first time visiting P. Perhentian with a group of 10 friends, and we made the best decision to stay at this quaint 9 bedroom hotel. Though it is not rated as a 5 star hotel in terms of facilities, it made up for it as the one that provided "par excellence" service and warmth (as in a cosy friendly place to chill).
The rooms were large, clean and comfortable and the meals prepared in "omakase" style were delicious and sumptuous. It was exciting to guess what our next meal is going to be but each dish did not disappoint including the vegetarian meals prepared for one of us.
Kudos and a very big TQ to Niko, Su and the rest of the crew for making our stay a memorable one and many of us in the group will be back again. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone planning to visit P Perhentian!!!

Although we didn't stay at beach box we ate at the restaurant twice. Firstly it's in a great location overlooking the beach+sea, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and they serve alcohol. We are a vegetarian/vegan couple and although there were no options on the menu for us we checked with the chef/owner and he said no problem, what would you like?. We really appreciated this level of hospitality and the food was fantastic. I am also a chef and can tell when another chef cares about their work and their diners. Hopefully when we visit again their will be veggie/vegan options on the menu!

Standards in this hotel are excellent. The staff were absolutely lovely. Julie (part-owner) had the most incredible attention to detail and worked tirelessly to obtain her exacting standards. The rooms were nice and clean. There is a busy 5* PADI dive shop next door if you like diving (not that that was noticeable in the hotel). They don't use plastic bottles and all the water and ice are filtered which tasted great. The food was fantastic with great views over the bay. We stayed on the full board package (set menu so be sure to tell them what you can and can't eat at the time of booking, they were great with me as I don't eat rice - I know! In Asia!) and put weight on while we were there, it was too good to leave! Try the cheese omelette for breakfast - was one of the best I've ever had (and I had it twice!) The resort is seconds from the jetty so you don't even have far to walk when you arrive. If you are anything like us, you'll have to be dragged away and you'll wish that jetty was further away!!

This is a brand new hotel in The Perhentians that only opened two weeks before MCO. there are only nine rooms which are modern and tastefully designed. The weekend we went to Perhentians most hotels were fully booked. When my wife suggested Beach Box I was sceptical as it only had a couple of reviews, but I'm so glad we decided to stay here! After coming from a huge resort in Redang it was so nice to be in a smaller more laid back hotel with excellent service. It includes a big and delicious breakfast and there is a beach on either side. It's really easy to organise snorkelling trips or water taxis. They also serve food and the restaurant has a great view over the water to the other island. To get here, take a ferry from Kuala Besut and ask them to stop here (Beach Box has it's own jetty).

Pleasantly surprised by how well put together this resort is. Its size limitation has forced it to be creative and with only 9 rooms allows it to focus on the guests.

Rooms are comfortable and food is 'omakase style' where diners leave themselves in the hands of Nico and whats seasonal and available.

Returning to Perhentian after 20 yrs with our daughter and choosing to stay here was a good decison. Thanks to the BB team for making our stay a really enjoyable one.

Hi Danielle The closest dive center that is opened right now is Cosmic Divers. They can come pick you up from the hotel for your dives.
