Great location with lovely beach and snorkeling. However, the staff is not service minded at all. The rooms are basic but allright. Altough there are some signs of bes bugs (at least from before) with blood stains on sheets and on the walls in connection to the beds. The staff is ignorant and does not listen to any problems that we informed them about. Would not return to this hotel.

Goodness! Went from our hotel by boat over to tuna Bay. It was very busy on the beach but we were looking for an early dinner with the kids. The waiter was so rude! Lots if food not avaliable. Our sons dinner never came. They were even rude when we came to pay the bill. You would think it was an inconvenience to give them money! Nice location but food pretty rubbish and you don't go out to be treated so badly!

The room was fine, except for the low water pressure and no hair conditioner and body shampoo. Need to request for hairdryer separately. Food definitely need to improve for Asian food. The curry chicken was too oily and the restaurant waiter didn't even ask whether we consume beef or not for the BBQ. No seafood BBQ. Lastly, lack of human touch when come to departure as be thoughtful enough to accommodate the customer to have earlier lunch while waiting for the boat.

Everything is perfect! Booking was a breeze and I got prompt replies on all my questions and requests. The return transfer from the Tuna main office to the resort was smooth and pleasant. They have their own private boat so it is definitely much more comfortable than the public transfer boats. The food at the resort was EXCELLENT, especially the chinese stir fry dishes. Full of "wok hei", something we weren't expecting at an island resort. There are plenty of choices and we had something different every night. The kids loved the western food choices and the fruit ice blended. Portions were huge but they had no problem finishing it as they were delicious. Compliments to the chef. The staff was friendly, especially a Chinese man at the restaurant. (we did not manage to get the…

Tuna Bay Island Resort had advertised their 3D2N Snorkelling Package rate on Facebook. It was quite a decent price for the ground package deal. There was additional cost if we required return land transfer services. After much thought, we decided to pay extra for the added convenience. At first, we were quite anxious as we did not receive a reply to our inquiries via email & Whatsapp. However, Tuna Bay came through on the day that they were supposed to pick us up from our Hotel. A taxi driver had approached us. He had sent us to their office near the jetty. Since we had some knicks-knacks from our shopping spree which we did not want to bring to the island, the staff had agreed to keep them in the office. Later, we were escorted to the jetty with other hotel guests & told to…

Tuna Bay is a resort with mid-range prices and a decent balance between price and comfort. While the chalet-style rooms' interior and furnishings may be older, the property and beachfront are clean and well-kept. The booking process was a breeze. The land and boat transfer arranged by the resort are on time and made our travel seamless. The staff is courteous, friendly, and attentive at all times. While the hill-facing room didn't have the best view, we didn't really mind as most of our time was spent lounging at the beach (which was a very short walk from the room) or in the ocean. Our room was cozy and clean. Our only qualm is the very low shower water pressure (the pump took quite some time to kick in). Electricity is available 24 hours. There is pretty decent house…

So we decided to book our rooms for a weeks holiday( 8 beautiful days) . Booking process was a breeze, Thanks Jimmy! As soon as we got to the jetty, we dropped our bags off at the TB office and they loaded our bags onto the speedboat and straight to our rooms!! How amazing is that right! Rooms: We got the beachfront rooms...😍😍😍😍 the room was big enough for 2 adults and a baby...towels were given, soaps, shampoos etc....changed regularly and topped up when finished. Electricity goes off for a split second so no issue there...and there is Hot water and AC.....👌🏼👌🏼 Food: Food qas excellent..portions were huge for most of the local dishes but would be better if the western dishes came the same size as the local ones. 🙈 Though the menu was extensive, i would suggest the…

This resort service is so bad especially the restaurant, went for meals three times all three times i had to wait for at least 15 minutes before they bring me the menu and it was after i manage to get one of their staff attention. But if you are a WESTERNER then no problem very fast service. There is a chinese guy running around the restaurant who rather mingle around with the WESTERNER than serving customer, hello you are just working there, lookout for customer that is not served yet,not chit chatting with WESTERNER or keep up looking out to the sea.Another chinese lady there also look like very busy running here and there but actually in reality does nothing at all.I am regular at Perhentian and i can tell over the years, this resort management has gone downhill and very arrogant…

We spent 4 days/3 nights at the resort and was impressed by the extra effort by the staff to make our trip comfortable. Lyn from the mainland office needs a special mention - she helped organise a cake for my husband's birthday, wrapped the presents and even personally accompanied us to a shop as we wanted to get some batik sarongs. Overall rooms are comfortable but basic. Soap, shampoo and toilet rolls are provided. Rooms also have a safe and air-conditioning but no hairdryers org kettles. You can request for hair dryers at the reception and there is a 24 hour water dispenser for both hot and cold water - found the water dispenser extremely useful as the bottle of water provided daily is not sufficient when you're in the sun. The shower water pressure is bad so be prepared to…

I know it’s COVID and we need to support local businesses, but we feel CHEATED and SCAMMED - do not book here, try another hotel on the island. I’m more annoyed because I emailed the owner and staff yesterday warning them that I’ll write a bad review (to give them another chance) and they didn’t even reply! -We paid for the highest tier room - First issue is there are no telephones in room, so if you have a question or complaint, you have to walk 10 mins to the front office and back to the room - They let us check in but the room didn’t seem ready - the sink was blocked and full of dirty water (gross), safe was still locked (unsafe), outside deck chairs were not clean with rotting fruit, monkey poop and leaves stuck on them, and let me tell you the only good thing about this…
