My GF and I stayed at TB (Tuna Bay) for 9 days, 8 nights at Pulau Besar. We travelled with hope in our minds for a relaxing holiday, and I have to say... WOW! We totally got what we hoped for, and more. The chalets were nice and tidy (we did actually expect less from a island resort) and with...

We stayed in a beachfront room. It was clean and comfortable and serviced daily. All of the staff we met were very friendly. We found the breakfast a lot more substantial than others we had encountered in Malaysia. The prices are probably higher than some of the other resorts, although the aircon was good and the bed comfortable and we...

I have tried several hotels in Perhentian and I can tell you this is the best one!!! Excellent service, excellent food, excellent location, excellent beach. Nemo fishes 1 meter from the beach, awesome corals. Very comfy chalet right on the beach. What else can we ask? It is paradise! (oh, maybe a bit expensive compared to others and always fully...

The Perhentian Islands are located off the North Eastern coast of Malaysia. They take a little effort to get to but they are well worth the effort to get to them. They comprise 2 islands, Perhentian Besar (big Island) & Perhentian Kecil (little Island) The resorts on the islands are not operative all year round so it is advisable to...

We loved the Perhentians - beach paradise. Transfers from and to the airport were arranged efficiently, the staff were pleasant, food was good (not fantastic) and the beach was lovely - it's worth exploring the beaches each side of the resort and also going over to the other island. Given the price we paid, we thought our room was pretty...

we had a garden room, 32 i think, which was clean & comfortable. White sand, clear water, palm trees for the much needed shade, blue skies whats not to love??? The broken coral on the beach can be a bit uncomfortable sometimes but thats the only negative that I can think off. From the minute we got to the office...

We have stayed for 6 days in this hotel. For us it was very good hotel with friendly staff and good food. Even my favorite Guinness was there :). First I would like to say thanks to hotel staff – it was easy to talk with them to book a room, prepare transfer (taxi and boat). All things was covered...

It beats me how this place gets such good reviews in guidebooks as well as Trip Advisor. Although the room was fine (we were in the new wing) the towels were skimpy and worn-out, cleaning wasn't that efficient. The so-called cuisine (which was one of reasons for choosing it) was mainly frozen, micro-waved and covered in packet sauces for example...

Best bits: 1) The beach is incredible, hire a snorkle for £1/day, walk about 5m into the sea and then just float and find nemo in the amazing coral reef. 2) Walk a few minutes west up the beach from Tuna Bay and eat at the next resort (I think it might be Senja Bay Resort) the seafood here was...

First of all, let me preface this review by saying that I'm a Canadian who has been living in Asia for 16 years and I have extensively travelled all over Southeast Asia. Of all of the trips I've been on, Tuna Bay Resort is without a doubt one of the worst values for money that I've experienced. I stayed there...
