Pros: Big room for family, resort has its own jetty, some restaurants few doors away, friendly staff to guide you to the boat.

Cons: No hair dryer, no fridge, no place to hang wet clothes (most people simply hang outside rooms). No frill breakfast

We been there last September 2014. We booked a snorkling package, include 3 times meal. Everything went well and room is clean. The staff service is lousy. I make a report regarding noisy room (party-ing) 24/7 beside our room, but there no action from the staff.

Location was nice. We booked a seaview chalet. The room was ok. However I was not happy with the service. No room service unless you asked for it. Towel change, throwing rubbish you have to do it yourself refill. Breakfast is always not enough. Breakfast time is 7-10 am.But by 8 am no more breakfeast..you have to wait for refill.Refill came in small portion. The problem is they did not cook enough for everybody. The kitchen staff is very rude..My suggestion you can stay here as the seaview chalet is niice and strategic, there is swimming pool..but arrange the boat transfer with agent in Kuala besut (my suggestion is perhentian setia trave agent). Don't worry about food..you have lots of choices along the beach. The same goes for snorkeling trip..you can arrange with lots of other agents along the beach. If you are good are bargaining, you probably can get cheaper rate. Another negative point for arwana..they throw rubbish along the beaches rather than properly collect the rubbish in an area.

As we arrived to this hotel, Azhar welcome us and had a good chit chat with us. He advise us in many things and concern about our safety as well. This is what made us safe to stay here and we always consult him before we plan any activities. I hope he stay here till our next visit.

From Perhentian With Love...

We stayed here for 3D2N, taking the Nature Explore package provided by the resort. It was a very worthy package, which inclusive of buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner, throughout the stay, as well as snorkeling trips.

The first day we arrived, we noticed the renovation on-going and only us with a few guests. Some of the chalets were in renovation which we did saw the management trying their best to improve their facilities. The room are refurbished with new parquet flooring. The beds were nice and comfy, provided a good night sleep and day rest. Yet, the bathroom need some improvement as our sink was leaking whenever we used it to brush teeth or washing our face. Otherwise the room was nearly wonderful.

Service? The service was wonderful. They provided 5-star services with warm greetings, warm smiles, and warm gestures, starting from the receptionist till waiters, till chef, till housekeeping. The staffs looked very happy and cheerful when entertaining guests.

The resort is the only resort with swimming pool, which is big, a plus point. They have a souvenir shop, and a spa (but I don't think the spa is operating). They also have a small jetty for boats arriving and departing in front of the resort. Nice view at every angle.

The only cons here was the coverage reception. The local hand phone line was quite terrible, and WiFi only available at the lobby. They don't provide TV. However they did showed a movie on the screen at the lobby every night. Yet, we couldn't agree more on the purpose to come here. We came to relax and enjoy the nature, wasn't it? ;)

The snorkeling trips were wonderful. We covered 7-8 points around the island. The boatmen were friendly and provided us with excellent experience. Many thanks especially to Captain Zul ;)

I would truly recommend this resort to others. You don't need to complaint if your main purpose to come here is to relax and explore the nature.

Big thumbs up!

Thank you.

Best thing about this hotel is boat will send you right in front of the lobby. Problem with this hotel is that its check in time is not synchronize with boat time. We have to wait 1 hour before we can check in as the boat schedule is early. We also need to wait 1 hour for the boat after check out as the boat schedule is 1 hour late from check out time.

Room is good. Pool is good. My kids enjoyed the swimming pool. Food not too bad but i think they can do a better job. Location wise is great.

I stayed 7 days in this resort because of my diving course.
But I was extremely disappointed with the room condition & the staff's attitude.

Besides not having wifi & TV in the room, the wardrobe doors were missing & lose cable was hanging in the air. The room was very dimmed because out of the 5 room lights, only 2 lights were working.

We didnt have room cleaning services for 3 days, the room was full of sand & rubbish bin was filled. I feedback the room condition to the reception counter and requested for help. The room service came only twice during my 7 days stay.

This resort only provide 1 pillow per pax. When I request for an additional pillow, the counter lady want to charge RM2 per pillow per day.
When i requested for an extra pillow, the counter said they will charge 1 pillow for 2 RM per day.

Worst of all, there were earthworms crawling in the bathroom during 2 days of my stay.

Speed boat from Kuala Besut jetty takes about 30-45 mins to reach the hotel jetty.

There is no grid electricity supply and the hotel runs its own generator. The generators switches between the primary and secondary at 7am and 7pm and you'll need to manually switch the air conditioning on twice a day. If possible, try to avoid rooms at the end of the hotel, the generator runs 24 x 7 and are quite audible.

Hotel staffs are basically family members of Mr Saad, the owner of the hotel, who is also the general manager, referee, emcee cum boatman. They are very friendly but the rest of the staffs can speak little English.

The hotel has a restaurant but it does not serve ala-carte food. You can only choose the buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel doesn't serve alcohol. There is a mini-bar behind the PADI diver's office and prices are reasonable. The hotel is faces south and you can't view sunset or sunrise here. It is also surrounded by hills. Rooms are clean. TV only shows local channels and reception is horrible. Bathroom has no bath tub and only has shower. It has one cold water shower point and a miserable ZERO pressure supply to the instant hot water heater next to it.

The hotel doesn't provide beach towels and you're not allowed to bring your room towels to the pool or the sea.

There are numerous snorkeling sites around the island and try to avoid November to February months when monsoon hits the hardest. The hotel has their own boatman to bring you to the sea for snorkeling and diving.

Prices on the sundry shop items costs double compared to the same items on the peninsular. The hotel provides free drinking and hot water at the restaurant round the clock. You can bring the flask from the room to fill it up yourselves.

You can get around the island or beaches with the local water taxis, ranging from RM15 to RM50 per pax one-way, depending on distance. There are also 2 jungle trekking tracks from the hotel. One goes to turtle bay and the other goes to turtle point and the official jetty of the island.

Room Tip: If possible choose the chalets facing the sea, the generator is barely audible there.

Big improvement from Redang! Beach is not as pretty here as Redang but still beautiful and much quieter. About five or six resorts here so a bit of choice about places to eat/ drink. Pool is large and pretty but very dirty.
Hotel generally not maintained well, everything seems a bit run down. We had deluxe pool view room. This was a large, dark room with a wet room bathroom and there was holes in the vents here which we had to close up with tissue ourselves. Very noisy from the pool area. Plain bedding etc which was not clean. Toilet did not flush properly and tv reception was vey poor (but did have HBO/ star movies).
Had a generator you had to restart twice a day (7am/ pm) so got hot in the morning if you didnt get up to turn it back on.
Food here was not very nice and was pretty expensive. Most people had buffet which was very expensive and didnt look great so we opted for a la carte. Breakfast not good- weird stuff and not nice. Not worth gettin up for! Bar was small and cute- great!
Very traditional staff here and sometimes were rude and ignored us. Free wifi didnt work very well.
Prayer call wakes you up at 5.30am as on loud speaker.
Note there are no ATMs on islands so v difficult here if you dont have cash as not everywhere takes cards and some charge quite a lot!
Overall hotel was ok but would rather stay elsewhere!

Is there good snorkeling from the beach front at this resort?

No it wasn't. The water is shallow. The best is to take a boat to the nearest reef. It was nice and not expensive. 🌞🌞
