Detailed Reviews
We had an amazing time at Crocodile Rock Villas. We stayed for 3 nights and only wish we stayed for longer. Everything was perfect! The cabins are beautiful, spacious and comfortable (each bed has a mosquito net and the hot water shower is indeed hot). The food served at the Bistro is amazing and so good, freshly cooked with organic ingredients. We ate there everyday! You can snorkel right in front of the villas or walk maybe 3mn to get to a beautiful sandy beach (snorkeling gears are complimentary). No need to swim far; so many fish right by the beach.
I also like what the owners are doing to help protect our planet, like providing reef safe soap and free filtered water to refill your bottles.

Beautiful timber cabins in a quiet rainforest setting, with
top-quality food, and a caring host family. Good snorkelling straight
out the front of the accommodation. Easy walk to Coral Bay for dive
shops and warungs. And you can refill your own water bottle here (no
more plastic waste). I recommend you stay a few nights and work your
way through the delicious menu.

Having been extremely fortunate to find myself @ Crockrock Villas Perhentian Islands for the COVID19 lockdown I have only the best things to say about this fantastic villa resort. After more than 70 nights there I still didn’t want to leave this amazingly peaceful place. Beautiful stylishly designed wooden bungalows in a fabulous setting in the lush wild nature of Perhentian Cecil Island. Great hosts and staff who know how to treat their guests and serving the best food the island has to offer. Away from it all but yet still walking distance to so many stunning beaches. I left this place with a heavy heart and know I will return someday. Thanks you Erica, Atord & family and staff for an unforgettable experience.

We originally booked in 2020 but had to cancel due to the pandemic. Finally managed to rebook for 2024 and Crocodile Rock Villas was worth the wait. It’s a beautiful peaceful jungle setting with a fabulous house reef right in front – great for snorkelling. Two minutes from Chomel Beach (where the boat from Besut drops you) and 10 minutes from Keranji Beach, which in our opinion is the best beach on the island. The villas are simple, rustic, clean and comfortable. You go to sleep with the sounds of the jungle and there’s lots of wildlife on your doorstep. Atord and Erica and their staff were all friendly and helpful and we enjoyed some delicious meals at the bistro. The bar is a great place to enjoy cocktails as the sunsets. Overall this is a fabulous place to stay and is highly recommended.

5 star no doubt. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our villa is very spacious and comfortable. Everyone should try snorkling at the front of the resort. The area is full of corals and fishes. The water in the area is crystal clear. By the way their Chicken Burger is a must try for dinner.

Perfect place to escape from busy city life. Here you find tranquility with nature. A friend introduces me this place in 2018 and had been back on a yearly basic since. Every stay is a memorable experience.

My family and I had a wonderful time at Crocodile Rock Villas! The owners were very friendly and helpful, the staff was lovely, and the food was great. We got to see so much wildlife while we were there, as well, which made the trip even more special. We would definitely recommend it to future travelers.

Stayed for three wonderful nights in the safari tents. The tents are on raised wooden platforms with a separate washing area and full size double bed. Everything was comfortable and spotless and the tents had lots of room plus their own balcony.
The restaurant did breakfast every day and the banana pancakes were a great start to the day. Evening meals in the restaurant (not on Tuesday or Saturday) were way better than the standard island resort fare.
The hosts (Erica, Atord and the team) were all really welcoming and accommodating. It’s a family run resort and a very personal welcome.
The resort is also very respectful of the environment it’s in. You can hardly see it from the sea as the tents and villas are all hidden in the tree line.

Crocodile Rock Villas is THE place to stay on Perhentian Kecil - if what you desire is peace and tranquility in a lovely and early little eco-resort jungle/beach setting with a personal touch and great cuisine (both breakfast & dinner!). My husband and I stayed in Seaview Villa 3 and absolutely loved it! So great to wake up surrounded by jungle sounds...the little porch felt private and so peaceful. The bathrooms were great (did not miss or need hot water!) and the bed was comfy. The absolute best thing about CRV are Erica and Atord, though. It was a pleasure meeting them and chatting with them and dog Cookie, feeling like a member of the growing fan-community of this lovely beach resort! Thank you and we will see you again some time in the future!
