MIMPI Perhentian Resort has garnered acclaim for its immaculate cleanliness, with guests commending the pristine rooms and facilities. The resort's vibrant atmosphere is often celebrated, thanks to live music and stunning ocean views, though opinions on the sun deck are mixed. The service at the resort receives high marks for its welcoming staff and effective management of tours. While the rooms are generally appreciated for their cleanliness and views, some guests have noted issues with size and occasional odors. The resort's location is lauded for its convenience and natural beauty, and although the value for money receives varied feedback, the inclusive packages and amenities like the minibar and snorkeling gear are frequently praised.

For years the best hotel in Perenthisn, at least until the Marriott opened. In fact it is a good solution, located on the long beach, in the middle of the “nightlife” (so to speak).
Rooms maybe a little small but nice, excellent services offered, especially excursions and spa in addition to the infinity pool.
Two major problems not insignificant:
1) the hotel does not have umbrellas on the beach but only in the pool, very few, or on an ina kind of small and very hot concrete terrace.
2) the cleanliness of the rooms is very poor, sand everywhere and especially is performed at incomprehensible times, never in the morning, often beyond 3 pm.
Last negative note, the hotel does not serve alcohol, it is a facility for international guests in a country, in theory, still secular, is not acceptable

I booked the 3D2N package with ocean view with transport add-on. ai was picked up on time at the airport and the whole journey to Pulau Perhentian was no fuss. The room was clean and air-conditioned. Good amnities with friendly staff. As I had the exploration package, with Mimpi's tourist guide, Nabila I had a great time going through the Windmill Trek and enjoyed marine life in the Snorkelling trip. Nabila was kind enough do even dive down and take photos of the sea turtle with my go pro. Will recommend for any solo female travellers that don't mind paying a bit extra for comfort and luxury. The hotel has a restaurant that is on the pricier end but anyone can walk a few minutes to other eateries along Long Beach. Loved my stay at Mimpi and would visit again.

We enjoyed our 3d2n package full board with land and boat transfers. Smooth journey from time to pickup at the KB airport till we landed at Mimpi. Staff were courteous, efficient and friendly, (always service with a smile).
Location is easy access for those suffering from knee pain , being only abt 200m from the jetty on level path. Meals were well prepared and delicious. The room was comfortable. Had very sound sleep for the 2 nights. The sea view was superb. Free snacks and drinks was a welcome. A staff was assigned to ensure we took the boat and the taxi van on the return journey..
Thank you.
Room for improvement - the shower head holder is fixed too high up. Perhaps another holder could be added at a lower position.
Will recommend to family and friends.

The structure from the outside looks new and modern, but this aspect is only facade.
As soon as we arrive (5pm on the day of arrival, so definitely not in advance of check-in time) we are handed the keys to the room that unfortunately we find only half clean. The bed had been made, but the sheets had not been changed (obvious stains here and there and folds to use on sheets and pillows) as well as we found the unsealed and visibly used room slippers by previous tenants and the floor full of sand, stains and hair. Once we spoke to the reception (with so much difficulty as they struggle to understand and speak in English) we were forced to call them back 3 times as every time we returned to the room they had not fixed the problems highlighted above.
In general the structure is poorly maintained, often dirty in common areas, in the pool some tiles are broken with sharp protrusions, the railing separating the pool from the Sun deck is rusty and dangerously broken in several stretches. Another note of demerit for a hotel that proclaims itself 4 stars is the fact of having only a dozen umbrellas on a beach where there is not a shred of shade throughout the day. If you plan to arrive at this “Resort” and relax a few days, consider staying elsewhere!!!!
We also found it absurd that the staff were completely unprepared to advise their guests on available excursions, beaches to visit or other activities to do on the island.
The breakfast is of poor quality and those guests who want to sleep a little more will not find anything on their arrival, as after 8.30 no one will care to restock the buffet of finished things.
On the day of checkout they will do everything to make you leave with the first boat available and if you plan to stay a few hours in the pool before leaving they will not even give you a towel for the day.
Personnel are clearly unqualified for the job they are doing.
The price paid is therefore absolutely not in line with the services you will be offered.
A real shame considering the potential of the island and the location of the hotel.

This is our second time here, and surprisingly, we were given early check-in! Maybe because it's low season, and the room is ready anyway. Really appreciate the flexibility of the hotel.

I booked thru booking.com with a promotional rate, and it was really value for money, as we were given a room that has partial seaview (I managed to take really nice pictures!), and the room has mini-bar stocked with softdrinks and other canned drinks, it also included some peanuts and biscuits.

Room is also very clean, and staff are very nice to accomodate our requests. The beach towels are all looking new!

1. First day checking into our room, sheets and pillowcases had clearly visible dried bloodstains
2. Towels not available most of the time, also, the person at the towel counter 'warns' you that only one towel per person allowed
3. Strong sewage smell during low tide, especially at the ground floor
4. Lights are turned off at the lounge area besides the reception at 11pm, regardless of the fact that my group and other tourists were sitting there talking.
5. Buffet breakfast ok, decent amount of food
6. Staff pleasant for the most part

We stayed at the Mimpi in April 2024 and were a family of 4 (2 kids 9 and 14).

The location of the hotel is good right next to the jetty.

We stayed in a premier suite which was amazing. Incredibly spacious and comfortable with exceptional views of the sea and the length of long beach.

There is a small swimming pool which is nice for a dip and the children could use as well (the website said adults only but not the case when we were there).

The service was excellent from very friendly and helpful staff.

We didn’t eat at the hotel only because there are so many good restaurants on the beach.
Note, bring cash as there are no ATMs and pretty much all of the restaurants and cafes on the beach are cash only. It is possible to exchange money or withdraw money from your card at the espresso cafe but there is a hefty commisson.

We used the hotel to book our snorkelling trip and whilst it was more expensive than every other place offered and looked like an identical trip (we picked up people from other resorts) we were very happy with the trip and they did give us towels and water and supplied good quality masks and snorkels!

The only point of potential improvement is the sun deck is not particularly attractive or inviting.

Overall though we loved our stay at the Mimpi. It’s a lovely place in paradise!!

This is my third time staying at Mimpi Perhentian. It is sad to share that my experience this round is the worst as compared to the first two trips. There is no toiletries refill after the room was made up because the items are out of stock. I do understand that it closing season soon because of the monsoon. However, I did pay for the room at full price. Why do I have to be the collateral damage of the weather? The bed sheet and comforter have a smell which is caused by the sheet not drying properly. On my fourth day, the room was not made up when I returned to my room at noon. I called the front desk and told them to give me a new set of towels and omit the housekeeping. At around 4pm, the housekeeping staff knocked on my door and wanted to make up the room. Hence I am not sure if they have initially forgotten to make my room or if they only have one staff to do housekeeping.

On top of that, I had a rude encounter with the restaurant manager. I went diving daily at 8am hence I have made a special request to pack my breakfast (which is included in the room package) and I will collect it at noon time. On the first day, the packed food portion was too little so I requested extra fruits on the second day with the restaurant manager in the morning. She said ok and when I collected my food at noon, it was not packed. Hence I asked the waitress on duty to pack it for me instead. On the third day, I saw the same restaurant manager again and I explained to her that she didn’t pack the extra fruits for me. She said I was not allowed to pack the food after I have eaten at the restaurant. I told her that I go diving at 8am, and I have never sat down to eat. She started to raise her voice and told me that I cannot pack the extra fruits because customers are only allowed to have one portion of fruits (which looks like a portion for a child). Which I find ridiculous because I get to dine an unlimited portion if I dine in. Furthermore, I did not request the packed food for fun. I will have digestive problems if I eat and dive.

The restaurant manager was not only rude and inconsiderate, it is most disappointing that she judged me when all I did was take care of my health so that I can enjoy my dives and holiday.

We were a family of 6 first time travelling to the island. We took their fullboard package that includes speedboat transfer, meal(breakfast, lunch and dinner),snorkelling trip and windmill trekking. In the beginning of our journey we were greeted by friendly staff at Sales Office of Mimpi at Jetty. We were glad that they offer luggage service so we dont have to carry our heavy luggages from their sales office to the speedboat at jetty. The boatman service was great as well, friendly and always ensure all the passengers wore lifejackets for safety.
Upon arrival at Mimpi hotel itself, we had great time there..it is adjacent to the jetty itself so you dont have to walk far to the hotel. Thankfully the front reception let us have early check in and they were very helpful with our room arrangement to be near with each other. The meals were excellent and all taste so delicious. Special thanks to all the staff from sales office at Jetty, the boatman, snorkelling trip Ms Qistina, windmill trekking Ms Nabila, enak Bar staff and Rasa restaurant crew for making our Perhentian trip memorable and excellent.definitely we will come back again for another great Mimpi experience..overall fully recommended for family trip with senior citizen and children.kudos <3

Ci sono locali (ristoranti ecc) nelle vicinanze? Inoltre sentieri che portano ad altre spiagge?
Pulau Perhentian Kecil, Malaysia1 contribution
It depends on the specific location you are referring to. Long Beach have a variety of nearby restaurants and bars. while others may have few or none. Similarly, some beaches may have trails or walkways leading to other nearby beaches, while others may not. It would be best to research the specific beach you're interested in to find out what nearby amenities are available.
