My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We booked it by sending a whatsapp. We had a basic room, bed was comfy and a fan, no airco but it was ok. The staff was very friendly they helped us with everything. The diving centre was awesome we ended up doing 2 dived because we loved it so much. The place is desolated, but if you want quiet and peace this is the place for you. You can easily take a watzr taxi to go to the main beach. The food was good and not expensive they worl with a notepad for all te orders. For western food we had to wait some time and the portions were small. The bathroom was something we didnt like. No normal toilet and hygiene not very good.

The best place on our trip to Malaysia. It's a true little paradise. You have a amazing beach and corals in front of the accommodation and 10 min walk from the accommodation are there picture perfect tropical beaches whith equally amazing coral. And even better there is nobody there!! Furthermore the food is quite cheap en delicious! The only negative is that there are no other places to eat. But that's partly good because that's why it's so secluded. Also don't expect luxury resort style rooms. The rooms are it's just what you need. Tip maby bring a mosquitoes net whith you if you are afraid of creepy crawlies.

We stayed multiple nights at D'Lagoon. Great upsides but also a serious downside making the overall rating average. To start with the upsides: -> location is amazing. One beach that feels a bit secluded with only one accommodation. This means there is blue water, beach, the venue and directly jungle. Totally different feel compared to long beach. -> it's possible to do some jungle trails, e.g. to several beaches or to Long Beach. Is recommended. What's also recommended is wearing proper shoes as it is still jungle, it's a trail (not a path) and at places steep. -> owners are friendly -> good food at the restaurant -> prices very acceptable -> owner was so kind to arrange boat ride from Besut harbour; instructions and itinerary went smoothly -> enough activities to do, from diving to snorkling to jungle trails to games and so on -> staff every morning cleans up the premises and beach Some doubts that we had; -> wouldn't say the snorkling at D'Lagoon Beach is world class. It's nice and relaxing (not many people around given the location), but not amazing -> we did a snorkling trip. We are used to tours in e.g. Galapagos Islands (Ecuador) and those were actual tours with a guide, drinks provided for, snacks provided for and so on. The snorkling trip we had with D'Lagoon was only a boat ride to a snorkling spot, no instructions whatsoever in terms of where it is nice, no drinks, no snacks, no lunch, nothing. -> we did a dive with D'Lagoon. Dive center looked well run and owner (Art) comes across as very experienced. The experience on the boat was the same as with the snorkling trip: a functional boat ride from a to b and an instruction to get into the water. No real introduction of the dive side, the dive master or words shared to make it memorable. No clear buddy check on the boat. A serious doubt that we had -> it's the most basic room I have ever stayed in. It's a wooden shed, woudlnt call it a chalet, on concrete pillars. Were some little holes in the room making me wonder what could crawl inside when sleeping. Mosquito net a must. On top of this, the bathroom was equally basic. Although clean, it looked run down and I could see the jungle through the wall as there are holes in the wall (by design), but these are not covered with some sort of net. So if you go to the bath room you need to check three times for any animals. No sink, only some plastic tubes and a plastic tab. In line with the room, no shampoo and soap provided for. Don't get me wrong. The above sounds a bit negative. In the end, it depends on your expectations. If we knew beforehand that the rooms were so basic, we would not have minded that much. The fact that the room was advertised as "Deluxe" might have something to do with it....

D'Lagoon is situated in Perhentian Kecil. This place is certainly backpacker-style and basic. The place is perfect for snorkeling and diving. Many beautiful corals but please be careful as there are many sharp rocks and corals. The food is good - reasonable and in good proportions. Being a backpacker's haven, you pretty much have a bed, pillow, sheets, blanket and a towel. The best is bring your own toiletries. You may asked the chalet for a small soap. Toilets are not the best, lots of stain but functional. There a few animals around like huge monitor lizard, squirrels up and down on the coconut tree, eating the coconut and cats. They feed all these animals and these animals are pretty friendly (meaning you may take their picture closely) From D'Lagoon you may do the jungle trekking to the Turtle Beach, Adam & Eve Beach & Wind Mill and Long Beach. It takes about 45 mins to the Wind Mill and Long Beach... from the Long Beach you may take the water taxi appx RM 10 per person to go back to D'Lagoon chalet. Those who loves peaceful and quiet place and don't mind to stay at basic type of chalet..D'Lagoon would be nice to stay.

Amazing underwater experience I had with friends at DLagoon. Art the Dive Instructor is also professional underwater photographer, and videographer. He knows the ins and outs of dive sites around perhentian island. As for the accommodation, it is basic, with clean bedsheet and thick mattress. Mosquito is there, so be prepared with sprays. Water supply is not problem. Restaurant provide quite variety of meal to choose from and reasonably priced. Overall, awesome experience and awesome place.

We spent 6 days there and it was one of the best holidays I’ve ever had. The rooms are basic and the shared bathroom facilities could be improved! But nevertheless I would recommend to stay here to everyone looking for a perfect relaxed beach holiday. You can walk to Adam&Eve beach as well as to turtle beach. Those are by far the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. And very well for snorkeling as well as diving I will come again!

Perfect place for a relaxing day on the beach and a bit of snorkeling. It's not so nice for swimming because even close to the shore there are many sharp rocks and corals. There is a restaurant and it makes me very happy to see that they don't use plastic straws (they sell reusable ones for 3rm) and that they recycle the cans. On the other hand they feed a huge monitor lizard and the baby sharks on a daily basis and that I don't approve of. Let nature have it's go, don't interfere and destroy their natural hunting abilities. They should be shy, they're not a tourist attraction that should be available at the smallest hint. Let the animals be wild!

"Deluxe chalet with private attached bathroom" - simply the worst place of our stay in Malaysia. The name is marketed and is a total lie. No sink, small tiny rooms completely dirty. We spent 5 days in the jungle before this and it was far better. Be careful about the non refundable room ... And just ask yourself why the Dlagoon is not on booking nor agoda ...

What else can I rate them than 5 out of 5! It's a lovely but basic family-run resort right on the beach. The private beach is lined with palmtrees and little thatched huts that make for a lovely decor and give you some shade. There's lots of fish and even reef sharks just swimming of the beach, great spot to go snorkeling. Food in the restaurant is well-priced and has Asian as well as Western options. The oreo-chocolate shake is a must-try! Rooms are basic, just a bed and a small cubboard/table. It's clean though and you're right on the beach. Shared bathrooms are squat toilets, the more superior rooms with bathroom ensuite have a western toilet. The family is lovely, and helpfull! Would definately stay here again, it's better than staying on Long Beach!
