We spent three nights with our son in the Wisana Village and felt completely comfortable. The whole team is very friendly. It's quiet and relaxed, almost a family atmosphere. We originally wanted to come in 2020, but then Corona came. It was no problem to postpone the trip several times without losing the deposit and in August 2022 we were finally able to visit Redang. The beach is gorgeous, with white sand and crystal clear water. You can start snorkeling from the nearest headland on foot. We also recommend an excursion organized by the resort to offshore islands (e.g. Pulau Lima) and to the turtles. Our guide explained the best snorkeling spot to us very professionally. The food as part of the full board tasted very good. Varied and always something that the children like. Especially when you consider that everything has to be delivered with the bot, a really extraordinary achievement. Overall, Wisana Village was the best place in our entire Malaysia tour and felt like a home away from home. We would like to come back...

We are regulars at Wisana so a little biased. Wisana is a 10 room resort with its own magnificent beach and comfortable rooms, simple but with all mod cons. The majority of guests are local families enjoying the great location which adds to the enjoyment. It is still very much a hidden secret. The initial wow factor is the location on a private beach overlooking a sandbar (accessible by canoe) and views to adjacent islands. Sunrise is a must. The house reef, a 5/10 minute snorkel away, is also superb and well worth exploring, particularly at lower tide as it gives a spectacular view on reef life for more confident snorkelers. The majority of guests will arrive by ferry from Merang direct to the beach (normally included in your room-rate) but should you fly direct from KL (SKS 1.5 hrs on a Twin Otter, great value and so far very reliable or Berjaya 1hr more comfortable but more costly and a lot less predictable re timings and operation), Wisana will arrange the transfer via car and boat. Staff at Wisana go out of their way to help make your stay a success. Meals are buffet but generally the 5 options will cater for most tastes and are more than adequate. Water and a changing variety of drinks are available through two water coolers. Should you wish anything else it is easy to arrange a transfer to the main tourist “long beach”, 10 mins by boat away, to buy supplies or a 10 min walk round on a board walk to the next beach resort where crisps/nuts/chocolates, soft drinks are available from their somewhat unpredictable shop…. Local mobile phone connection is sporadic although Wisana does have a wifi that works most of the time The highlight of redang however is the spectacular beaches (of which Wisana has one of the best) and the snorkeling. We highly recommend organising to do a private snorkel, Wisana will take you to a variety of very different options all of which are unforgettable and many, in the right conditions, world class. Personally we have now explored at least 10 excellent snorkel spots Highly recommended, Enjoy!

Most prettiest beach i ever experience. Super friendly stuff... And the best of all, the food.. Its simple and yet so delicious. You can just go for a swim right after you wake up in the morning.. Or choose to go for a activities like canoeing, hiking or simply have a jog shoeless in Redang white clean sandy beach.. A bless to have been and experienced it on my own.

Came here the first time as a couple in 2018. Since then it has become a compulsory yearly visit, it feels like we’re going back home/kampung. The staff were very attentive, they treated us like family. And the beach…it is truly a hidden gem. White sandy beach and sparkling aquamarine water. Food was amazing and we really appreciate the 24-hr self service coffee and toasts corner. Will definitely keep coming every year ❤️.

We stayed at Wisana for 4 nights and would have loved to extend our stay if it was not fully booked. It reminded me a bit of some of the Redang resorts back in the early 90s, and truly had the feel ‘to get away from it all’ (something which is now sadly lost on Pasir Panjang & Teluk Kalong Besar side of Redang due to overdevelopment). The staff were kind and accommodating. Communication before and during stay was very good. Food was tasty especially the fresh fish! The kids had a great time as us the parents. We would love to return in the future. I hope Wisana Village will prosper and progress …but also maintain a wise way of developing the resort and it’s surroundings (I.e. please Do not become like Pasir Panjang)

I really love this resort as they have limited number of accommodation and it feels like being at a private beach. There are no TV in room but who needs one when you have a lovely scenery. Food served were excellent.

The resort had some electrical issues and they shut down - informing us 6 days before our trip to Redang! This has caused a great amount of stress and frustrations. The kids were devastated and were crying as this was a trip that we had saved up and planned for some time now. As we really didn't want the kids to be disappointed, we had no choice but to book any place that is available. Most of our other options within our price range were no longer available and we ended up paying through our noses.

Wisana will always have a special place in my heart. The whole booking process was smooth. We were supposed to stay here in June but due to MCO we decided to postponed it to Oct. They acknowledged the situation and cooperated very well. No hassle. All rooms here are beach front. The view is obviously to die for. Waking up to the sound of waves.. seriously it was the best thing ever. Food was great. Never expected to be served masak lemak udang with nenas on an island! We always looked forward to makan time just to see what delicious food they would serve. Tea, coffee, milo and bread with jam are free-flow so trust me you will never go hungry here. The space where we can eat and hang out is so cozy we love spending our time there when we’re not swimming in the sea. There’s a TV here so no worries you’re not gonna miss that football match you’ve been waiting for. I only hve one comment for improvement. It would be super awesome of they can serve sambal belacan. Haha! I know there’s a commotion going on about taking over this part of the island. Please dont turn it into another Long Beach. Whoever that organisation is, please dont take away Wisana away from us. We would really love to come back and experience the same thing we did a few weeks ago. Major love!

We chose Wisana based on its Trip Adviser reviews and were not disappointed. From the first what’s app booking confirmation on it was clear that the staff were excellent and as it proved eager to make our stay a success. Packages include the 45 minute transfer from Merang jetty although we chose to use Berjaya to fly into Redang from KL and took the ferry out. Wisana organised the necessary transfer (car / boat) from the airport. Wisana is relatively unique in that it is on its own beach about a 10 min speedboat away from Long Beach. Long beach has a large number of resorts and is the tourist hub of the island, relatively quiet in the Covid world but particularly busy in the past when foreign tourists were allowed into Malaysia. Wisana only has 10 cabins on its own idyllic beach opposite a picturesque sandbar, a 15 min kayak ride away. The setting is sublime and worth the stay. Our cabin, a sea view deluxe was beautifully positioned overlooking the beach and close to the restaurant. It was fully functional and comfortable. Food is served buffet style and as others have noted offers plenty of choice. You would be unlucky not to find something to your taste.. Bread / Toast is available all day for snacks whilst Teatime treats are on offer every afternoon. Wisana has two free flow drinks eg water & OJ or cordial etc available all the time (plus coffee tea Etc) but does not sell sodas and is dry. A limited range of cold sodas, crisps etc is available at the Mutiara Redang Shop, a 5 /10 minute boardwalk away whilst beer and a broader selection of sodas are available on Long beach. Our package included a free snorkel package which was superb. One of Redangs charms is the range of great crystal clear snorkel stops. Our package snorkel which we used to get our bearings included a swim with the turtles at Taaras, plus two other interesting spots. We then opted to do our own private snorkels for the balance of our stay and had some great experiences. This also offered opportunity to check out long beach and replenish supplies. The house reef (by the point to the left of the Wisana) is as good as any but does require a 10 minute swim to get to the best of it (with generally currents helping you either out or back!) In summary Wisana is very highly recommended if you want a relaxed, idyllic, quiet, friendly, small resort. Thanks to all the staff for helping make it a great stay. We will very definitely return!

After spending 4 days at Wisana my wife and i agreed that we will definitely be returning. Communication prior to arrival was superb. On arrival at Merang we parked, met jetty personal and we were on our speedboat within 5 minutes and at the resort within 45minutes. Greeted by staff on arrival at Wisana and given our room early which was very helpful. We spent the next four days on the beach, chilling out, swimming in the sea and snorkelling around the reefs. The best reefs are to the right hand side, as you look at Wisana from the sea, by the rocks. There is a variety of fish and coral. Spotted a stingray there too! In the cornered off swimming area we saw a turtle daily near the far rope. We organised a boat trip to see the turtles and snorkel in a couple of different locations. Recommend the 3 stop to do it all. Turtles were incredible. Snorkelling was good but similar variety of fish to where the coral is off the beach of Wisana. Rooms at Wisana are basic but the room we booked had two queen beds which was helpful with two children. You can request beach towels. Food. One of the best things about Wisana. The food was spectacular. Great variety. Sometimes food did run out. Especially popular items at breakfast/afternoon tea so good to get in early. One of the plus sides is having tea/coffee and toast available 24/7. Staff were friendly and helpful and attempted to solve any requests. The beach is clean with plenty of sun beds. Sea is clear and great for swimming in. Look no further on Redang. This place is pure paradise. The reviews don't lie! Go!
