Disgusting, trashy place. Terrible food, rude staff, dirty stinky rooms and poor communications. Useless snorkelling, where you are being thrown around like kettle.. If you want to ruin your holiday, come to this crap hole. They just need to go out of business. Please trust me and go somewhere else. To give you just one example of how terrible the food is: they cooked Kue Teow one morning and then mixed in the overcooked leftovers in the afternoon tea-time meal.. come on people.. Staff smokes constantly across the full premise, regardless of whether you or your children are around. As you stand in line waiting for a boat to go snorkelling, staff just smokes in your faces and in your children faces. The toilets in the rooms are disgusting.. and please note we booked 4 of them so it is not just a bad room..

Had a good time with my family at Redang Reef. Best Snorkeling experience, thanks Abang Din for take care all of us very well during snorkeling. I rate 5 star for Abang Din. Everything is good, except the staff Steven with bad attitude. I rate 1 star for Steven, please be more patient. Don't talk to customer like want to gaduh.

This is not our first time staying in Redang Reef Resort but I have to say it is the worst experience we have this time. Paying RM400 for a full Board 3D/2N, I know I can't expect a Full star service and facilities. I can also accept issues like aircond leaking, toilet stuck, electricity power trapped off, etc.... and usually the resort person in-charge will arrange to get it fix or repair and we can still continue to enjoy our holiday with hot water shower and aircond room at night. However, I cannot accept that Mr Steven, the Person In-charge said to my friend : your group have a lot of problems (你们的Group真的很多问题)。 We booked altogether 7 rooms. First day, the power trapped and causing 3 rooms no electricity supply. They managed to repair for one room after trying for about an hour but another two rooms they are unable to get the aircond up. Fortunately, after dinner, we managed to transfer to the other rooms and we have a peace of mind on first night. (At first, Mr Steven told us that the resort is full house and won't be able arrange other rooms for us) Day two morning, the same block, electricity power trapped again. We found out from the Technician that it has been happening even before we check-in. Which mean the problem already exists before we arrived. So Mr Steven, you should apologise to us for giving our group those problematic rooms and wasted our times waiting for the repairing. In fact, you were telling that we are making the rooms dirty and not allow to enter another room. In fact, many guests have checked out in the morning. So today there are lesser people staying in the resort. We expected a better service, unfortunately it was another way round. I supposed it was the unpleasant incident with Mr Steven in the morning and he was asking the staff to give us a SPECIAL TREATMENT. The resort is supplying Hot and Cold water for the whole day, but we couldn't find any cups there. When we asked for cup, a staff said wait for Tea Time. We were not informed that we need to bring our own drinking bottle or cup when we do the booking. On the hand, the resort is selling beer and we are allowed to bring our own alcohol beverages. We are all Malaysian, we are used to our Malaysia Culture and respect other races. If the resort want to make certain area Alcohol free, you may put a sign like "Non-Smoking", or let us know nicely which area we can sit down to drink our beers. We don't expect to get chase off by your staff as if we are illegal immigrants and cannot enter the dining area just because we are holding our beers. We also don't expect staff to serve us food with HER black face. We rather she put on her mask if she has forgotten how to smile. Moreover, we were not really having buffet. We need to queue up and let the staff to put the dishes on a plate for us. If this is the SOP due to Covid-19 Pandemic, I would respect the roles but please let me decide if I want to select the dish and how much I wanted. And, please train the staff who serve foods, don't put the fruits on top of the hot dishes like Fried Chicken. (In fact, after that I've checked the SOP, buffet is allowed for all hotels and resorts in May). Luckily, staff from snorkeling center and dive shop are nice people and very good in entertaining us too. So, Owner of Redang Reef, I hope you will consider to re-interview your Person In-charge and provide some customer service training for the serving staff. Rooms:1/5 Food Taste : 3/5 Food Selection : 3/5 Service : 2/5 (there are still some good and friendly staff) Cleanliness: 3/5 Facilities: 1/5 (All mobile reception only 2 bar, WiFi very slow, and certain hour no Internet access, shower water very low pressure)

The accommodation was thoroughly sanitized before we checked in. The staff there were friendly and helpful. Our luggage was ushered by the staff to the resort upon reaching and leaving. Good services. The itinerary was nicely coordinated. The food was good. Four meals per day, free flow. The resort was at the corner of the coastal line. Its dining area was built on top of rocks, offering beautiful sea views while dining. Many snorkelling trips were included in the package. The turtle trip was one of the highlights of the trip - worth the RM40 paid extra- as we managed to see and swim so closely with the turtles. The snorkelling guides were extremely friendly. Kudos to Jacky, he showed us around under the water, my friends and I had a very good time there. Compared to other resorts, the nightlife of the resort was chill and calm without loud music blasting. Overall Redang Reef is a very nice resort to stay for the price paid. *Friendly reminder: If you're visiting Redang, please keep the cleanliness of the beach and leave no trash behind =)

Pros:private side of rocky beach, super windy at night. Cleanliness acceptable except for the aircon. I think this is the only resort that u can eat and sleep listening to sea waves. Blue sand can be seen at this resort. Cons:food is bland and some meal is repeated. Don't expect seafood. More like Malay style economy rice. I think they shouldn't place fruit (watermelon every meal) on the food. Imagine eating a watermelon with curry taste. Drinks is only coffee and tea for breakfast, with no creamer and sugar. Expect to clean up your plate and cup yourself after meal if you stay here. Some rooms is good some is not, in term of water pressure, Aircon and internet stability.

Great place to stay on Redang. Small hotel on a rocky peninsular next to one of the main beaches. Rooms are nice with good facilities. Very nice open and covered dining area. Food was chinese style and generally good but a bit plain. No additional sauces available to spice up meal. Lots of sea life in the shallow rocky bay next to the hotel and a nice small promontory/hill jutting out into the sea which is a good place to climb for a view. Good snorkeling trips to a variety of places with good coral and abundant fish.

Wonderful location if you’re a beach lover. The resort is located just right next to the beach. You can enjoy your dinner while listening to the therapeutic sound of waves. If you’re a diver, it’s even better. Shore dive/ house reef was just next to the dive centre (Leisure Scuba). Less than a min walk and you’re ready to dive in. Foods here are great too, buffet style and contains no pork/ lard.

I like the location of this resort which is just beside two nice bays, one smaller one for snorkeling practice. The dishes served were of different varieties and BBQ dinner every alternate day. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Snorkeling guides takes care of inexperienced snorkelers during the boat trips. Rooms are basic with air-cond, hot-shower and toilet. Some rooms have a small patio. I have been visiting here every year for the past four years. You will love the friendly squirrels that come visit the restaurant during meal times.

I’ve brought my company staffs here for 3days 2 nights family day. Location is very good but rooms were dirty. No ventilation in d toilet n bathroom n there is a big spider in d bathroom too :o They really need to improve their house keeping. Blanket, bedsheets all looks old n dirty. When I asked them to sweep d floor again, they asked me WHY?? I told them every where in d room is dirty but d answer is nobody on duty!?. So, I just borrowed a broom n sweep it myself :( Foods provided quite reasonable. A small shop selling things with reasonable price, I think d cheapest around that beach. Overall my staffs were happy staying there due to d nice beach n snorkeling activities. Will definitely come back to Redang island but not staying in this resort.
