I been there for 4D3N on June 2015. The management is good and effective, include the main office at Chinatown, Terengganu and the resort at Redang. The environment is nice, the most important is you can watch sunrise by just sitting in front of the resort's beach or those benches, it's amazing. The beach in front of the resort, you can have your sea swimming and snorkelling over there too, it's crytal clear blue. Swimming pool provide in the resort. At night, there's live band over the bar which is facing to the sea and beach. It's relax and enjoy while listening to the song and feel the wind. That's greatest enjoy! The foods including breakfast, lunch, teatime and dinner are in buffet style, there will be one dinner meal is BBQ dinner. The staffs are helpful and kind. At the…
We booked a 4day 3night package in June and paid a hefty price for it as it was peak season. The resort facilities were rather basic with towels, a dressing table, shower gel and a towel rack . The bathroom was clean and a sink was provided outside the bathroom. The air-conditioner was in good condition. There were 2 single beds and a queen bed but as we were a family of six, we were provided with 2 extra single mattresses. There were seats outside our room and space to dry our wet clothes but i would recommend you to bring some nylon string to hang your wet clothes. The buffet meals were of average standard and i don't think any foreign tourist would stomach it. However i would give thumbs up for the BBQ dinner on our second night. However the beautiful view and crystal…
The reviews helped us a lot to plan for our trip. Expecting minimum amenities, we brought our own toiletries. The sink is very small so bring a cup if u need one. There were drying racks provided outside the room but if you wish to hang stuff in the room, the metal rack is VERY high; we brought nylon strings. Yes, the setup is like a summer camp where bells are rang to indicate start or end of mealtimes. We spent all our 3 days there snorkeling. We even managed to do some fishing and have a guide brought us to a lovely island to snorkel by paying extra (we rented the boat and the guide). That was very very lovely and an exceptionally eye-opener. We saw plenty of life in the sea, including stingray, eel, baby shark (in the shallow waters near the Beach resort), plenty of…
I visited the resort in early March 2015 for 3d2n. About the resort, i actually read many reviews and most of them is bad reviews and to be honest, this resort is not the one that i initially choose to stay as the resort i first choose is still in renovation, and after much consideration, i booked the redang beach resort. Three of us choose to stay in the chalet, the room is simple but clean, however i wish they did something with the light because it is too dim but overall i'm satisfied with the room. As for the food, I can't tolerate it.. yes, you heard me, perhaps because i'm a fussy eater. it is tasteless, felt sorry for the foreigner (do not think Malaysian food is awful, guys..it is the resort to be blame. :)).. Oh yes, one more thing, due to the resort did not have their…
I visited this resort with friends and family. Generally, it was more like a summer camp than a resort. Since we booked the 3 days 2 night package, we basically just go with the flow. The buffet served was average and typical Malaysian meals. Everything was self serviced even after finishing our meals, we had to clear our own dishes and put in the trays provided. The resort did not have any sea view rooms. The rooms were basic with only bath towels provided. No toiletries and beach towels provided in the room. So please bring your own beach towels! We loved the white sandy beach and its not over crowded which was just nice to enjoy the sun and the sea. Again, there was no sun lounger on the beach. Another disappointment. The island was somehow Chinese-oriented but obviously was…
Very good place to visit. I make booking with mystar holiday agent. The service is very good. Water is very clear n clean. Making another plan for visit again very soon :). Love the food yum yum ( the bbq dinner not so nice only ) Love it
I was here with my friends from 9-12th May. The room that we booked was the four person each room, quad room. The room was very very basic, only towels provided, no toiletries and the shower wasn't working properly after the first day. The water was lukewarm. There was also a pungent smell emanating frm the bathroom, couldn't find the source. The food was also very average, nothing tasty. In two words, can eat lah. The coffee and tea served were so bad. The coffee reeked of a water filter smell, it's like they didn't boil water, merely heated it up. The only plus point is the location of the resort and the live band. After walking ard the beach, discovered so many other better resorts and hotel. Frankly I think Redang Bay was the worst there. Tip for future visitors, if you're…
Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. The rooms were OK. I expected a little better, but it was not bad. The resort itself is nice and has all amenities like pool, restaurant, etc. We were pure vegetarians and had requested for full veg food. This was provided and the food was good. Overall had a good experience.
So I've been here for like 3 times! 4 times visited the island. What can I say, it's definitely one of my favorite places to just chill and get away from busy life. The chalet room was great, has got TV and all. Very cozy. The resort made a slight a revamp recently and it looks pretty! New reception, new convenience store, new dessert house! They however removed the karaoke room, I think. But that's fine with me. Meals provided was great. The best part about this resort is the people there. Very very nice people. I've made friends with several of them! They'll bring me and my friends to snorkel and show us around. They will hang out with us. They will make sure that you had a good time. Thank you Redang Bay for everything.
Redang Islands was not part of our plan until two weeks before the trip. We stumbled upon a tour agency from Singapore, offering tour package to Redang Islands at a desirable price. We have set a maximum of $300 for a short getaway trip; hence we went ahead with the package straight away. We went ahead with Redang Bay Resort that cost $249 per pax. It was a 9 hour bus trip to Shah Bandar Jetty in Terengganu. We set off at 9.30pm from Golden Mile Tower, via the second link. The bus then stop at Yong Peng for a 30 minutes break before resuming the long journey. We safely arrived Shah Bandar Jetty around 6 in the morning. Shops and eateries were all close during that timing. So, we wondered around and waited for the 9am ferry. A cheerful staff from the Redang Bay Resort greeted…
