First, forget the "restaurante" part of the title. This is a bed-and-breakfast hotel. There is a restaurant attached, and another across the street with the same name, but this is about the Hotel Riad. Some of the reviews in this listing might be of an entirely different property, it's not clear. The location is perfect, just one long block from... More

Booked by our tour operator. Situated near the main square. Rooms vey small, lots off noise from the kitchen and office! Not easy to navigate the narrow stairs with bags! Dinner across the road, had beef shanks tagine, could have been more tender! The town is lovely and we had great fun walking to the waterfall from the Riad.

We visited the restaurant while in Chefchaouen and we're pleased with the meal, though we found it a little pricey for the area. Not enough meat included, so we had to order more. We got a little bit of this and that. I highly recommend the mint tea (served in a beautiful silver pot), the cheese (local goat cheese with... More

What a wonderful amalgamation of buildings to make this riad a wonderful, authentic place to rest your weary bones. The reception/lobby area is cozy and welcoming with a fire in the fireplace. The eating area is a bit tight for space for comfortable eating.

This hotel provided reasonable accommodation but was somewhat basic. The room was fairly small and very cold. The air-conditioning was erratic and did little to heat the room. The bathroom was somewhat primitive. There was however a good view over Chefchaouen from the roof terrace and the adjoining restaurant was excellent.

We were with a large group, maybe as many as 50 people and had a very nice lunch of chicken and vegetable stew with couscous and a beef stew. The service and food were great and it was a delightful way to cap off a visit to the lovely town of Chaouen. The mint tea and honey was also a... More

Awful service, expensive for the food served. I've been asked to rush on ordering, I've been refused the menu at the beginning, servers said that we came late and they started reciting the food that is available. Ordered a mix of meat barbecue (chicken, beef and mince meat) they just brought chicken and beef, they even didn't compensate the missing... More

Recommended to us by our driver, we ate here for lunch. The food was exemplary, the price reasonable and the decor of the restaurant was very beautiful and charming. Its just out of the way on a side street off the main square. A small oasis of real Moroccan cooking in a touristy area

This is the best hotel I have stayed in during our many visits to Morocco. Sure there are swanky and smart international hotels that are more luxurious, but they are nothing in comparison to this charming and well-appointed hotel in the centre of the old city. Freindly and helpful staff, beautiful decor and fabulous breakfasts to boot!
