a comfortable guest house away from the medina but amazing views over the mountains. the owners Terry, Suzanne and Liam made us very welcome and were a wealth of knowledge. Laim guided us up the gorge to God's bridge and we had an amazing vegetable tagine and mint tea cooked over an open fire, has to be seen to be...

As a solo 1st time in Morocco traveller I won the raffle in choosing to stay at Rif. The staff at the guest house ofered insights into Chefchouan, the area , the locals wich fast-tracked me i feel to a 'beyond' the regular tourist experience. The situation of Rif is perfect enabling fantastic evenings and mornings on the terrace offering...

We happend upon this place by accident - but it was one of those wonderful "happy accidents!" As soon as we arrived Terry and Suzanne made us feel like we had known them forever! The location is superb, and the view of the Rif Mountains is amazing! Although it is only a few minutes walk from the Medina, you would...

Our family have just enjoyed 2 wonderful weeks in Chefchauhan. Rif for Anyone is a friendly welcoming family run guest house. The views from the terrace are simply breathtaking, almost like Scotland but bigger. We found the people very friendly and our children aged 8 and 3 enjoyed making friends with the local children. If you want to give your...

Room was not great and had a strange odor. But the price was right, the location was not bad and the staff were very nice and helpful.

We stayed a couple of nights in a double en suite and were pleased with the place in general. The room and bathroom were both clean, the upstairs terrace has lovely views and Terry is very obliging. An added bonus was that their neighbor helps out around the place - she cooks the occasional dinner and was also happy to...

This was a perfect place to start our Moroccan holiday. The place itself is fine. Good bedrooms with a small comunal area between the rooms and then lovely terrace upstairs that was used by the family and where we relaxed and ate. It appears to be a little way out of Chefchaouen but was an easy 10 minute wlk into...

Within 5 minutes of arriving, I realised that our stay in "Rif For Anyone" will be special. The warm welcoming and the smiley faces of Terry and Suzzan will convince you too. The Rooms are comfortable and clean, not air conditioned but its not needed at all due to the location and structure of the Hotel. From the clasical Moroccan...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! We don't allow children under 12 years. We are situated just a few minutes walk from the camping, and a 15 minute walk from Chaouen Medina. The national park of Talessamtane is only 200m behind our guesthouse. The Dar Scotlandee guest house in Chefchaouen is a surefire winner with travellers who would like to be somewhere a bit different!! This great value Guesthouse makes a wonderful change from a hotel in the Medina, and offers all the same attention to detail along with warm and personal hospitality. We are just a 15 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride to the ancient Medina of Chefchaouen and ideal for discovering the hidden villages of the majestic Rif Mountains. The guesthouse is a superb base for exploring the area, and linking up with fellow travellers on our shaded terrace. We also arrange day trips to local beauty spots, and guided tours to local villages to see traditional farming techniques. Local honey and olive oil are specialities of the region. A real chance to experience Berber hospitality. Free high speed wi-fi, so bring your devices. Book early to avoid disappointment, it does get busy in summer. We hope to see you soon... Please note- as with all of Morocco, there is a lot of new building work going on all around Chefchaouen. Recently, it has reached our neighbourhood, meaning the gentle sound of moroccans building houses. Although quite interesting to watch the basic building methods, and the lack of any machinery being used, the sound of bricks being cemented together may bother some people. Please consider this when booking as we don't want you to be unhappy in any way while you are here. ... more   less
