Our Saharan desert experience could not have been more perfect. Hassan was the perfect host: kind, knowledgable, helpful, and he spoke perfect English. His 4x4 tour of the desert was so interesting, and included visiting some mines, a fossil field, and a Berber nomad camp. The camel trek into the desert was amazing. We saw scarabs scampering through the sand...

Price: absolutely great value for your money. We paid 120 for a double including breakfast. Rooms (in our case: double, shared bathroom): fairly small and not spectacular in any way. Good beds. Hotel: The rooms are located around a shady courtyard which is great for relaxing. Also there is a nice rooftop terrace. So you do not spent much time...

We just spent two lovely days in Auberge des Roches. Visit started with delicious tea and we were greeted very warmly. There people here speak mainly French, but there is also a couple of people who speak very good English. What else to say - room was very cosy, however be prepared to cold at the nighttime. An excellent experience! Couldn't have been easier- we were picked up at the Merzouga bus station and walked to the hotel. From there it was a great two days of camels, food, and hospitality! The staff are great and willing to help out with anything.

Nice room with comfy beds and hot showers. Backyard opens right up into the desert with sand dunes as far as the eye can see. The staff was extremely helpful in setting us up with a camel ride suited to what we wanted. Delicious food was cooked for our group upon request. Would definitely come back here and highly recommend...

We planned our visit to Merzouga at the last minute, wound up arriving later than scheduled, and were exhausted. The staff at Auberge Les Roches went out of their way to assist us in finding the hotel (they came and met us at the entrance to the town), and contacted us on the phone during our drive to make sure...

There are several reasons why you should stay at Les Roche: 1) Lahcen (pronounced Hassan) was very responsive via email. He responded quickly and clearly with all of the information needed (rates, availability, location, room confirmation etc.). Several other guests mentioned that this was why they chose Les Roche over other Merzouga tour operators. 2) Someone was waiting at the...
