Myself and a friend stayed here for one night - and we were given what seemed to be a little house! A double room and a triple room, a bathroom and a lounge... For two people! Food was good, location near to the desert and sand dunes was excellent, views were great. Clean, with friendly staff. No wifi. Would visit... More

Dar Tafouyte is amazing! Not only it sits on the Sahara desert, but it's right next to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, only a 15min walk. Staff if great, native berbers, super friendly and thoughtful, they'll make sure you're comfortable at all times. Food is good, very funny chef, his laugh would crack me up! :D Swimming pool, lounge area,... More

Absolutely loved this riad. We hired them to take us to the desert also and that was really fun. The riad is beautiful, the food was good, the atmosphere peaceful and in general an amazing time. A definite repeater!

My wife and me stayed in this beautiful hotel. Room and bathroom ensuite are specially big and stylish. They are ready to have confort in the desert. The owner at the front desk is very kind, always with a beautiful smile for the customer. We did the camel safari to the Sahara with them and it was a beautiful experience.... More

We spent 2 nights at the camp in the dessert. We rode there by camel (ap. 1.5 h) and arrived early enough at the camp to climb the dunes and watch the sunset. There was also the possibility of sandboarding. In the evening we had a very rich meal and they played the drums. The tents were comfortable and there... More

Through an agency in Marrakech, we had booked a 5-day tour; which included an overnight desert tour with Dar Tafouyte. Because of circumstances beyond the control of the agency (floods cutting off the roads to Merzouga), we were not able to partake in the tour as planned but did make our way to Merzouga days later in a rental car.... Lovely place in a friendly neighbourhood. Delicious tajines and a hearty breakfast (spectacular on the terrace). Great views, comfy rooms and the showers are always hot (unlike many other places I've stayed in Morocco). The guys who run the place are the absolute sweetest. Thoughtful, warm and often downright hilarious. They took such good care of me when I was... More

I have stayed many times at Dar Tafouyte and I will definitely be back. The views of The dunes is always gorgeous, it is peaceful and relaxing, the rooms are big, clean and comfortable and it's a great value. But the best thing is the wonderful, warm, helpful and friendly staff.
