This wonderful 5-year old kasbah was well designed and built by the excellent and ever-hospitable Youssef and his brother, who takes the greatest natural care to ensure your stay is beyond memorable if you're lucky enough to get as far as his Berber village of Merzouga, poised on the very edge of the Sahara dunes. From here Youssef can arrange... More

We arrived after a long drive and were greeted by a warm and friendly host at Kasbah Azalay. The desert alone along with the picturesque Kasbah was the definition of breathtaking magic and mystique. The food was top notch excellent! The service was excellent!! The pool was necessarily refreshing, and there is a large rec room-like common area with games,... More

Hosts were extremely nice and fantastic cooks. During lunch they made some of the beest chicken I have ever tasted. The roomsand pool are splendid. Best thing: after a tour into the desert, you can make use of a hot shower in one of the rooms ;)

First of all, we arrived late at night and they had someone for us waiting at the bus station. We were starving when we arrived and were served delicious food ! Youssef one of the owners... More

The Sahara Desert was top of my 'bucket list' and this place really delivered. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted. They took time to sit with us on the first day and helped us plan how to make the most of our trip. We ended up packing quad biking in the... More

Kasbah Azalay is the place to stay when going to Merzouga! Ahmid and the other hosts were great! The food they provide is just amazing, being in the pool looking at the dunes is unforgettable and the experience in the Dunes of Sahara was epic! I would definitely recommend it to my friends!

I've been to the Kasbah Azalay in march to spend a night in the desert of Merzouga and it's really really nice ! When you arrive, you leave at camel (or 4*4 but it's less funny) after 1 hour you arrive to the camp, only few tents. You have a great diner, tea... and after our guide made fire camp... More

What a brilliant stay. The staff were incredibly helpful, nice and welcoming. The rooms, - massive and nicely decorated. The location, - perfect. On the edge of the village and the desert, just right for those magical sunsets. Highly recommended.
