Although the location of the restaurant is ideal, with beautiful beach views from nearly every table, the food left something to be desired and, for the price, it really wasn't worth it for us. There were many American items on the menu, but we tried the traditional fried fish (with salsa) with rice, beans and a salad and the waiter...

We stayed just one night in Jan 2013 after missing the bus through to Merida - the room at $45 excluding breakfast we thought was expensive and for that price could have had some finishing touches - like hot water - although the satelite TV was good! Beach was lovely and deserted, if a little windy, food was passable -...

We had lunch here and ordered a burger and a sandwich. For the price ($4 each) we have had fresh, delicious sandwiches elsewhere on the island. Food and drinks took a long time to arrive and drink came 5min after food. The servings were not generous at all and the chips were unseasoned, undercooked and stone cold. There are much...

I stayed here in the most expensive room because it had hot water and air con so I paid 45 dollars with breakfast included for double room. The restaurant is right there on the beach and the beach is just great so definetly it was a nice choice. What it is really expensive are the tours but that is everywhere...

My friend asked for a burger, the meat was overcooked and hard as a rock, I asked for a garlic chicken which was far from being good, too greasy for my taste. It's a bit cheaper than Villa Paraiso but VP is worth every buck you pay, food is better and the place looks nicer.

Our triple room at 45$ a night was not a good choise. The room have an aircon that sounds like a plane taking off (but considering the room, we are glad we had it). The room is moldy and my long dorming astma was acting up. The room was also full of bugs. Some crazy beadles flying around and ants....

My passport was stolen from my room right out of a zipped pocket in my luggage. Someone had a passkey to the room since there was no sign of break-in. When we informed the Hotel, they showed us other passports that they were keeping in a locked drawer at the front desk (who would take out locked passports and show...

We stayed in the fan cooled rooms in this hotel recently. The fans did not work properly and the rooms remained hot at night, the price was around US$23 and overpriced for the cleanliness and quality provided. There were lots of bugs as well including ants. The breakfast was inedible and the food overpriced. Nearby there are nicer restaurants including...

Great value for the price ($20/night).. And if you are too tired from your hike of the volcanoes to go further than the restaurant for dinner, you will still be in luck. The house fish dish (served steamed -whole fish) is awesome and special. Wine is $3 and beer is $1.. Harvey was very nice and perservered our spanish speaking...

This place is just okay to stay in. We had a nice little cabana for $28. No great shakes. The problem is that this part of the island gets VERY windy. We were there mid January 2012 and the wind blew at a constant 40+ miles per hour. Also, Lake Colciboca is very high right now and there is NO...
