Stay away. Noisy surroundings. Small, quaintly decorated rooms. Indifferent & unefficient staff. I hereby award them with the "Worst Breakfast Award" because of their undrinkable coffee, the rancid butter & cheese, the rubbery bread...anyway, I could go on and on but I think you get the idea, right? The only good points: Good showers, mostly clean rooms, equipped with plasma... More

Stayed here in July before catching the 20 min bus ride to Machu Picchu. Room and bathroom clean. First room was on the inside of the building with no window except one that.opens in to the corridor, no privicy and dark. No problem to change to a room at the back of the hotel, very quite. Breakfast basic but alright.... More

While not the worst hotel at which we have stayed, it is run down. Our philosophy is that "it's only one night," it was clean, small and a decent breakfast. We got there late, went to bed and left after breakfast. What can we say? Would we book it? No. We were part of a tour.

This hotel usually receives terrible reviews, and it is easy to understand why. The room are small and rundown, the view from our room is of a slum street and it was noisy (thankfuly, it rained and drove away the people partying on the street) But if you are here for only one night and plan to spend your time... More

I stayed here with an OAT trip and did not have a choice in hotels. My room was on the first floor up from the lobby over looking the street. In the morning I opened my curtains to see the very poor neighborhood in which we were located. The room and bathroom were clean. The best part of the room... More

Other contributors had my room with its sheer drape over a window that didn't latch, into a hallway. No window to the outside at all. The 12' square louver in the shower was enough tp allow barking dogs and screaming children to be heard until much too late. Very poor neighborhood. Yes, it's Peru. Okay, Peru is a "developing country." It is unrealistic to expect standards normal in more developed countries. Nevertheless, this place is pretty sad. We were on an Overseas Adventure tour. Maybe there are not that many options in Agua Calientes, the base town for Macchu Picchu. One of our tour members was assigned a room that had not been cleaned.... More

I already had an idea about this hotel, but did not think it would be too bad. I was wrong. My room was on the 4th floor, no windows, but the to the hallway and light curtain for privacy. Stayed at this hotel while on an OAT tour and I still can't believe they would put us up in such a horrendous place. Where does one begin to state all the problems this place has. This hotel must have moved, because it did not overlook the train station or the river. Our room was nice enough, although the TV didn't work...but hey, we're in Peru! The staff didn't speak much English, but they were pleasant...and hey, we are in Peru! The breakfast was cold, but when asked, the cook made us eggs without salmonella.. because... More
