If you want your marriage to last longer than your honeymoon please don't be fooled by the name of this room. It's a decent room with an ensuite bathroom but it's not the most ideal place to celebrate any kind of special dates. The sound of river beside is lovely and helps you to sleep when there are noisy guests...

Our family of four (mother, father, 21-year-old daughter, 19-year-old son) stayed in a quad for a single night before heading up to Machu Picchu. The room was OK - comfortable enough, large enough, clean enough, though certainly showing wear and tear. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Somehow in meeting us at the train station, they messed up and...

The room was not super clean, the window to the hall was very difficult to close, staff could have been a lot more friendly and helpful, breakfast was so so. It seems like the rooms were added one by one and are not organized - if there were a fire or earthquake it would be difficult to figure out how...

Unfortunately when we arrived they had problems with the water and there was no supply at all. But this was sorted by the evening and we had warm water. The location is the last property at the top of the hill so you have to walk 5 minutes from the centre. But this gets you away from the noise of...

Hotel is very good for its price range. Room was not small, hot water was really hot and river under the window make a great view and sound (of course if you like noise of water). Staff is friendly, they will pack you a breakfast even if you're going to Machu Pichu at 4:00 am as we did. Nothing special...

I stayed here with my mother three nights as we planned to spend two days at Machu Picchu. Our hostesses were so helpful and kind. They took us to and from the train station and helped orient us to the town. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is no heating or air conditioning and it is...

Aguas Calientes is a difficult place to find a good hostel. El Mistico excels at three things: It's affordable, unlike other places above a backpackers budget, or below good standards; it's clean; and it's friendly: this is a big thing, in such a touristy, money-hungry place. Breakfast is simple but OK, nothing extraordinary. It's quite a hike up Pachakuteq road,...

This hostel may be a little bit away from the centre of town but is definitely worth it. It may be basic but I didn't expect much considering we were there for Machu Picchu. Only took us 5 minutes to walk down to catch the bus up to Machu Picchu. The Main Street of shops/bars/restaurants are on the same road...

By top I mean right at the top of town if our host hadn't met us it would have been very hard to find. It is right by the hot pools entrance and is very quiet apart from the river noise. Clean and comfortable but to remember it is a hostel so there will be back packers and is fairly...

Aguas Calientes is a busy town and fills with travels who are going or leaving MachuPicchu, the hostel for me is a little quiet place that I could actually take a good rest. Someone might think the location is little bit far from the train station but it's okay to me. The room is nice and clean. We had a...
