The hotel was very beautiful and the rooms quite luxurious. Unfortunately I developed food poisoning after dinner at the hotel and needed doctors attention and a drip administered in our room early the next morning.
Only complaint with the hotel was that they refused to...More

I cannot say with certainty but we saw others with suitcases on the train. Our guide who met us at the station seemed slightly surprised we only had our small rucksacks with us ( we had read you could only bring small rucksack to machu picchu). He said he had planned to drop any suitcases off first at the hotel before going onto the mountain .
Hope this helps.

Greetings -- yes the nature tours at Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel are wonderful. But as nice as they are, there is no comparison between the hotel grounds and Machu Picchu -- one of the great wonders of the world. There are many places to explore at this iconic Inca site. probably a better idea to head up there on day one and then see if one full day is enough to satisfy your appetite. That way you can enjoy the fantastic hotel grounds on day two or have the option to return to MP.
The nature tours generally last about an hour. But one is free to also wander on your own. Enjoy both experiences -- you will not forget either.

We stayed in a junior suite with our own outdoor heated small pool the first night and then upgraded to the superior suite (best suite there) for the next two nights. The outdoor heated pool in the superior suite is 3 times bigger than the heated pool in the junior suite. There is also a soaking tub inside in the superior suite. The junior suite was fine though. It was only about $120 more for us to upgrade and that’s why we did it. Loved our stay at the inka terra. We just went in September 2017. We also did the private guided tour at Machu Picchu. Our guide was Carmen from the hotel and she was excellent!!! This was one of the best trips we have done so far! Enjoy!!!!
