This place looked great on their website, but fell a little short. The rooms were clean, the beds were a little hard and they lacked some of the basics like shampoo. The one saving grace was the amazing water pressure in the shower, which was great after hiking the Inca Trail all day. We were only here one night and...

The four of us spent one night here before going up to Machu Picchu and found it to be beautiful, clean and convenient.

The rooms here felt like a summer camp cabin. Slightly musty and clean enough. This place is a few flights up and I was terribly winded after every ascent (and I live in a 5th floor walkup), because of the altitude, among other things. Those are my only complaints and I think that in Aguas Calientes, you can't do better...

For some context, it's important to understand that Aguas Calientes is purely a tourist town. This was, after all, the only place in Peru where a business owner (at a restaurant) tried to rip us off. Rupa Wasi is a sanctuary from that kind of mentality both in atmosphere and in the attitude of its staff. While centrally located, Rupa...

I recently spent a few nights here and there is definitely something very magical about it's unique location :) The view from our room was amazing- right onto Machu Picchu mountain!!!- the bed was super comfy and the staff were very friendly. If you come for a visit, make sure you go to the restaurant too. The food is fairly...

Let me first start with saying that the staff at this place is really kind. They sent someone to pick us up from the railway station and helped us find our way in this small town of Aguas Calientes. On the other hand, this place is quite average with dated rooms. Specifically, we stayed in room #1 on the 1st...

After 4 days of hiking the Inca Trail and sleeping on the ground, this little lodge was luxury. It is quite the trek up a few steep hills to find it (but totally worth the walk). Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, clean, quiet, great restaurant and an amazing value - I will recommend it to all my friends and family going...

Rupa Wasi is the ideal place to stay after completing the gruelling 4 day 45 kilometre Inca Trek. The accommodation is well appointed, bed very comfortable, staff friendly and helpfull and the restaurant sensational. It is not cheap but then Peru is not as cheap as you might think anyway. It is great value and I would highly recommend it....

I had made a reservation for three travellers and had to pay the 50% deposit via Western Union in cash and pay the Western Union fee. They should have at least paypal as it is available in Peru and I was able to pay another for a Lima hotel deposit the same way. We had reserved a suite with an...

We stayed here for one night and took the first bus to machu picchu. We booked room nr. 2 and got an upgrade for room nr. 4. This room was lovely with hot showers. breakfast was yummy and the staff very friendly. We can NOT complain. but Aguas calientes really is not a place to be longer than necessary, but...
