as residents in Dakar we have stayed at a few hotels in Saly, this was not one of my favorites. We live in dakar our expectations are not that high. This was not even close to a nice room and not worth the price we paid. we enjoy somone, but will not return to Africa queen

AFRICA QUEEN is located in Somone Senegal just a few minutes walk from the Lagoon. Units are clean and well maintained, daily maid service, great atmosphere to relax by the pool or beach. They have nightly entertainment at the restaurant by the beach. It is just nice to lounge around after a long day and listen to the waves. The... More

We stayed five nights at this hotel. The price was very good indeed and I was pleased with the room - it was spacious with a fridge , tv , aircon and included breakfast. ( cooked eggs included but we had to ask ) The hotel was very quiet and the beautiful beach pretty deserted. It was a relaxing time... More

No, this is not an all-inclusive palace but an authentic small African hotel with lots of charm. Conveniently located at the beach. On busy days a few more sunbeds would be nice. The animation team is active from early morning until late night with aqua-gym, Petanque, etc. You don’t have to join but getting involved is fun. But please note... More

We stayed one week in the hotel in februari 2014. It's simple but very pleasant, a good bed, clean and an excellent location near the beach. Somone is a very nice village with some perfect restaurants and the beautiful Laguna with a lot of birds. We met a nice guide, named Raphael . He showed us around. We enjoyed it... More

Well, animation staff were friendly, reception and waitress were friendly and housekeeper too. That was the only positive point with the amazing view on the sea. For the rest it was really disappointing. Dirty sheets, bad smell, noisy, we even saw a fight between a guest and a staff... Not to recommend

Food: Breakfast - ok, but would have enjoyed some variety Dinner - great, quite some variety Staff: Very attentive, friendly. Some english speaking staff would help, though. We were lost without french. Rooms: You get for what you pay in a 3 star hotel...... More

I stayed here five nights with my girlfriend and I have mixed feelings about this hotel with a lot of potential. But I was disappointed and I would not recommend it, especially for the price. Good: It is well designed small beachfront hotel that has the potential to be fantastic. Our room was steps from the beach. The design of... More
