Rebranded under a new management - Kamili Beach is working on its hotel facilities with refurbishments & hiring new trained staff to make their guests' stay a better one. We went there for a family vacation, and Sujith who handled our reservation right from the start was very friendly and very attentive to all the tiny details. We had a ground floor room and top floor room - and the view of the sea from top is lovely and calming. Kamili is located on the same beach stretch as Turkyaa and Citrus Waskaduwa, but unlike those hotels, it is quite tranquil to holiday with the family. The meals served to us were delicious - the Chef paid special attention to our 3 year old toddler, and made very tasty pastas and noodles with less spice which she enjoyed. After COVID19, the hotel is returning back to business and does have a lot of work to be done such as the staff trainings and maybe refurbishing the bathrooms (which look a bit tired). But all in all, the hotel is very cosy and the F&B headed by Mahesh were very friendly and were very punctual with our meals when we pre-ordered it. The hotel pool is cleaned regularly and was very pleasant to swim in. Their gym and ayurveda spa is not in operation yet, so it would be worth checking if this is functioning before your stay. The beach was also a bit eroded due to the heavy rain in September and most of October, but otherwise it was delightful. We loved our stay at Kamili - the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, the food and the service. Hope they do get many more visitors staying with them to enjoy the peace and comfort Kamili has to offer ! We would be returning soon too! …

Upon my recent sojourn at the Kamili Beach Resort, there were certain operational and service areas that presented significant opportunities for enhancement. On entering the establishment, the absence of personnel at the reception desk was immediately noticeable. Subsequent interactions revealed a potential need for more comprehensive staff training, especially concerning guest relations and service protocols. The malfunctioning state of key amenities, such as the television and jacuzzi, was surprising. Additionally, the non-standard provision of WiFi, which had to be specially requested, diverges from the customary practices of modern hospitality. The dining section of the resort demonstrated areas of improvement. The menu, in terms of variety and quality, seemed constrained. A specific concern was the freshness and presentation of certain staple items. Timeliness in food service also appeared to be a recurring challenge. While the aesthetic potential of the resort was evident, its maintenance level seemed sporadic. The pool area, a quintessential feature for such resorts, lacked the pristine conditions expected by guests. The uninformed presence of dogs, though benign, might be disconcerting to some and would benefit from prior disclosure. Uneven lighting in several parts of the resort raises potential safety concerns. The overall ambiance, an amalgamation of the physical environment and service delivery, fell short of inducing the anticipated tranquillity. In summation, while the Kamili Beach Resort boasts potential, the prevailing service and facility standards require considerable attention. Prospective guests might benefit from a more in-depth appraisal of the resort's offerings before firming up their travel plans.…

Very very poor customer service. After 2.30 you can’t get the lunch. You can’t order anything also. I asked from them” if you put down the buffet can I order something for my lunch because I am hungry” but they said “ No, you can’t” it’s very very bad

The duplex villas are facing the beach and are very spacious clean and with good amenities. It was most convenient to just walk across to the beach. Morning was so beautiful with hymns and meditation on the lawns.The service was good and excellent food.

The hotel is beautiful and so are the surroundings. The beach is just across the gate. But we were disappointed with the service. The bed sheets did not look clean. The duvet did not have a cover, so we did not feel like using it. The food was served cold.

We visited this Villa Hotel during the period 22nd December 19 to 24th December 19. The is the Fourth time we are visiting this place During last two years. Very Good Rooms and Swimming pool.Food especially Seafood is very delicious. Very homely place with excellent service by the Staff.Only one hour drive from Colombo Ram

It’s from the start . There are only 2 guys working for the whole hotel . Front office . Room service. From office management . Pool staff ( actually here were non ) restaurant . You name it all the work done by two person . I really don’t think there is a 4 star service. We were really disappointed. Very poorly maintained . If I say about the restaurant all plates are dirty . Glasses had lip marks and finger marks . I don’t think they cleaned it . Flys all around . To be honest I didn’t ask to prepare a egg to my infant kid since I was so scared . I bought food from outside . Rooms some what clean . But I had to ask the one of the working two guys to chafe my bed sheets since here were mosquito killing marks from previous guest on the sheets . Overall its was too dull . No entertainment nothing . We just stayed slept and came back since we already paid .not worth it . Please don’t take money from people if you can’t give a good service or hire more people to do the service. Not recommended.…

Dear valued guest, First thank you for selecting our property for your stay. We are sorry to see your comment & regret any inconvenience caused. We always try our best to provide our best service all time. But we were so surprised to see your comment 'There are only 2 guys working for the whole hotel' . This is absolutely incorrect , we stated here with certitude. On that day, there were more than 15 staff working at the hotel(depend to the room count).We think that you may couldn't see all the staff as the kitchen staff normally work inside the kitchen , garden staff work all around the garden/beach areas , receptionists /accounts staff are inside the front office, security staff work closer to the main gate/ guard room & beach fence area, linen keepers are inside their working areas , maintenance staff: moving & in their working areas etc. Also please note our hotel is not a big structure which has large number of rooms.Our hotel is a small hotel and all staff work as a family and provide their services where and when it necessary. We have a head office to handle reservations , so our receptionists also can come to provide guests services when necessary. Specially, when you ask a service at the evening it may be provided to you by any staff who is on duty that time . You got all what you have requested from the hotel without delay or inconvenience, so we can't see what was the issue with you. You have just informed to the hotel that according to you, the sizes of glasses are not correct. But here you are telling that you got an uncleaned glass. If you got an uncleaned glass , you could have showed it to the hotel. But you have never informed about such incident. We would like to inform you that we have never provided glasses or plates without cleaning to our valuable clients. It is impossible to provide dirty plates or glasses. As there were buffet for your meals, it could have happened also someone mistakenly kept her/his glass where there were cleaned glasses. Concerning your infant's food, we regret , an infant of 4 months needs very specific foods (so its better their own foods) which is under parents responsible. Anyway, We were happy to noticed that the children of your group much enjoyed our meals. Concerning activities: we have TVs in all rooms, a swimming pool,a gym, library, Ayurvedic spa (with supplement), a stunning beach where you can walk, play & enjoy sun sets( can enjoy sun sets directly from your room balcony too), a big garden where you can get arranged to play badminton, cricket, beach volley ball, mini golf, water polo , croquet (normally we provide you equipment) etc.. So you could have done any of them with your family / friends, if you were interested to do something. Once again we regret for any inconvenience and we hope this would not deter you from visiting us again in the future as we look forward to offering you a better experience. About 25 families visited Kamili Beach Vila for an annual trip of the school batch mates. The hotel was taken exclusively for us. The ambiance was excellent for group trip. Their is space for recreations. The long beach adds to its beauty. The pool had space to accommodate us all. Played a wonderful game of beach cricket within the hotel premises. The service is excellent. Very cordial and importantly understood the requirement of the crowd. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food was excellent and tasty. Importantly had Value for Money. Would recommend for group outings.
