From the day i arrived there i felt like home. The atmosphere was nice, the rooms clean and the owner was super helpful and cared so much. Btw: if you want to learn how to make curries, just ask the owner. He gives small courses and knows a lot about ayurvedic medicine. The hotel is very closed to the tooth...

This tucked away hotel is cheap and cheerful with all your basic needs covered. The view from the top floor restaurant is superb as is the view from the bedroom that overlooks the jungle covered mountains. The food served is okay and I would advise you to get a tuk tuk (250 rupees) up to the hotel at night as...

We have been budget travelling all year but found the Majestic basically below par. When we turned on the shower the water ran down the bathroom door, the towels were tiny, rough, threadbare and stained. Sheets were very stained and dirty. The whole place just seemed incredibly unkept, run down and dirty, we asked for a new room straight away...

Lovely place to stay! Amazing view from our balcony, great food spacious room! They couldn't couldn't do enough to help you out... Bathrooms could do with a little update. But all other amenities more than make up for this! Highly recommend for a base in Kandy! Rach and Sarah UK

Post my visit to Galle, I reached Kandy via Colombo by train at around 9.00 pm. Since I had already spoken to the owner of the hotel a day earlier, he had advised me on the distance of the hotel from Kandy Railway Station (5 Kms takes 15-20 minutes) and the fare the Tuk Tuks charge (around 200 LKR). I...

Not very noisy hotel with the crowd or neighbors. Walking distance to the Kandy city (approx.20-30 mins) Don't try to get in to a taxi very quickly from the Railway Station or Bus...

The staff were excellent, extremely friendly people. The cooking was incredible from both the father and the son. If you stay you have to try the curry, it was incredible. We did the day tour with the Owner who was really friendly and always gave us the truth about prices. (If you do do the tour make sure you go...
