This family are super friendly and helpful. The owner let us (7 girls) arrive very late as we had a slow train from Colombo to Kandy. The villa isn't flash but it's homely and welcoming and was perfectly clean when we arrived. The breakfast terrace is gorgeous and the views were phenomenal, as was breakfast. Mr. Green Villa even sorted... More

Mangela welcome us nicely, very nice person. Me and my friends spent a good time on the balconey with this very nice veiw over the forest. Simple breakfast but Mangela provides more if you need. It was a pleasure, the only thing you have to cope with is the owner who wants absolutely to advise you and manage your trip... More

This guesthouse is in walking distance of the Temple of the tooth and off course the lake plus all the populair restaurants like Empire and Slightly Chilled. But it is away from the crowdy streets so very relaxing here if you want a good night sleep. Owner is btw really helpfull and friendly! Rooms are clean, nice and big for... More

Few of my friends decided to stay at the place but I had no clue such place existed. A bit away from the city the location is quiet and peaceful. Great hosts and friendly. Great food and enjoyed the time. Rooms seems to be spacious. unless if you have your own vehicle traveling from the property to the city will... More

We stayed with Mendis at Green Villa during two separate two-night stays in Kandy and had a great time. We stayed in a triple room which was well-furnished with nice bedding, mosquito nets, fans and a decent bathroom. When you first arrive by road Green Villa seems further from town than it is due to a road block that means... More

Very nice place, great hosts. Not in the usual backpacker area in fact the other side of the lake completely. About 1km from the rear temple entrance then a short hop into town. Plenty of Tuk Tuk's enroute if you can't be bothered to walk. Small extra charge for breakfast in you want it. Has AC and non-AC rooms, the... More

We asked for traditional Sri Lankan food and was not disappointed - on our last night here Manjella helped teach me how to where the sari's I bought that day. The rooms were spotless, there was toilet paper and 2 towels yay. Shower was nice... More

We stayed here for 3 nights at 2500 rp per night which is a good price for that location and it included breakfast. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. Madam makes fantastic Sri Lankan home cooked dishes. The owner can be a bit pushy with touting an organised tour to the gardens and spices, dance etc...The cheap rooms are... More
