This hotel has seen grander days. The bones are all there for a magnificent property, and I understand it will close next year for a needed renovation. Go there now for less money, once its redone it will be pricey. Great furnishings which, I'm sure will be kept, a charming old bar, the best possible location. Air conditioning not so...

I would say that i got the best colonial experience at hotel queens. We were extremely satisfied about the friendly and Cooperative front office staff there. Service of the whole staff including the front office staff was highly satisfactory. They were trying their best to provide us with a room since we were almost early to the hotel. Luckily.. they...

Having to checked in to this hotel during a day last week was very coincident . From the moment of checkin in to the time of the leaving everything was chaotic and unorganized . Nothing meets standards , the food is awful and bland . I cannot agree with the Scrambled Egg served for breakfast . Informed the reception staff...

We would not recommend this hotel. We stay here for one night on 4 March 2017. We checked in in the late afternoon and apparently received a free room "upgrade". The room was on the first floor right on the corner of the very, very busy intersection where the hotel sits and Sri Lankan drivers like to use their horns...

We stayed for one night with the main purpose of visiting Temple of Tooth (Dalada Maligawa). It was easy because we just have to cross the road, without worrying parking, carrying bags and safety, etc. We got a room in the first floor facing Temple of Tooth. Though wooden floored room was old it was well maintained and clean. There...

We, a group of 39 people, from Udaipur, India stayed at the Queens Hotel, Kandy on 28-02-2017 and checked out on 01-03-2017. We had a classic and colonial feel at the hotel. It was a comfortable stay. Some of us were vegetarians who had some issues of non vegetarian fumes and feels. However, the staff at every front was quite...

We stayed in a standard room, the room was spacious, The bathroom is very basic, the towels need to be replaced with a better quality, we had breakfast at the hotel and found the food not up to the standard as the other hotels we had stayed at. The plus side is that the hotel is very central to all...

The Queen's Hotel in Kandy is a place with a long history dating back to the middle of the 19th century. Its white painted facade has, in many ways, represented the face of this town to the outside world. Its interior is still resplendent with colonial era symbols such as creaking wooden floors, a large high ceilinged entrance area, an...

The Queen's Hotel, located in the heart of Kandy, is a true hold-over from Sri Lanka's Colonial past. Replete with a grand entrance, high ceilings, large chandeliers in the sparkling lobby, a large wooden staircase leading to the upper floors, (and painfully slow elevators), the place takes one back to how one would have imagined it the turn of the...
