We didn't stay at the Queen's Hotel but still wanted to check it out due to its historic significant and popularity. The lobby and the restaurant were beautiful and it felt as if we stepped back in time. The staff were very friendly and attentive, serving a variety of delicious drinks and snacks. We especially enjoyed the mariachi band that...

As soon as you step into the reception area you are swept back to an era of ladies in 'flapper' dresses and men in double breasted suits with bowler hats and umbrellas ! Amazing ... The lift was one of my favourite things ... Central for many things. We enjoyed views of the lake in the evening whilst dining on...

The hotel is located in the best location In Kandy city. Myself and my family were on a pilgrimage to the dalada maligawa and opted for queens as it is just across the street from the temple. We got a good rate directly from the hotel with prior confirmation. Check-in was fast and the reception manager Mr. Sidath personally ushered...

The best thing of this Hotel is its location in the heart of the City and every thing around you. The food was good and I am greatly surprised to see the Restaurant Manager brought the Safe to know about our choice of food in the dinner. And it was sincerely tried food that we had in the dinner. The...

This is an amazing hotel. There is a huge lobby, pleasant dining room and a rickety old cage lift. It really feels like you have travelled back to the last century. The location is ideal and a stroll around the lake which takes about 45 minutes is recommended. It is also handy for the shops and market and the railway...

Undoubtedly, the best location in Kandy. Surrounded by shopping area, bang on the lake, opposite the tooth relic temple and near the Kandy City Center. Pizza Hut opposite the hotel, Dominos nearby, Rooms badly need an upgrade. The room we got first night was shabby, with AC and fan not working. The one next day was a bit better. Breakfast...

Tremendous feel about this wonderful old building. We called for a dink and a meal at the Chinese resturant attached to the hotel. Great attentive service and nice meals. Well priced. The soups where enjoyable as was the Garlic beef. Great window view across the lake.

Me and my husband did a back pack train trip to Kandy and we selected this hotel because 1.) it's walking distance from the kandy train station and 2.) it's just on the other side of the temple of sacred tooth relic so we could just cross the road and go to there. This must be the oldest hotel in...

The hotel carries a lot old vintage charm within itself but it is in desperate need for maintenance. One cannot see any flaws whatsoever untill u actually stay .
