This well established and well-run guest house is at the top of a ferocious hill but well worth the climb! Or tuk tuk ride in our case. A pleasant walk down to the lake however. Great breakfast in the ground floor dining room and a buffet style curry and rice dinner is available on the rooftop. The room was basic...

We spent 4 lovely days at the Sharon Inn, the owners made us very welcome and helped us arrange some great activities and excursions during our stay. The evening buffet dinners on the roof terrace are delicious, breakfast is freshly cooked and the service is pleasant.

Good, clean room although the bathroom was just a wee bit antiquated but fine. Had our two evening meals in the hotel which were first class. Fantastic curry. Staff very friendly and obliging. Good views.

We stayed at Sharon Inn only 1 night, high up the hill, room was comfortable, clean, complimentary water, view to some courtyard; dinner was great; provided us with sandwiches outside official meal times when all the other places in the area were closed; very friendly staff; unfortunately we were very unhappy with the owner (talks bad about Sri Lankans, added...

My fiancée and visited for dinner on our first night in Kandy and weren't disappointed. Wonderful selection of home made Sri Lankan curries on the roof terrace overlooking the city at night. Friendly staff and excellent value - only 1100 rupees per person for food. Plus we were treated to a musical serenade by the owner as we left! Would...

(Well worth the climb) Great beds and linen, excellent bathroom, room serviced daily and bottled water provided. A private balcony with stunning views of Kandy and the lake. A very warm welcome from Susie the Manager was appreciated. We were a family of 5 adults and we had a double en suite room and a family suite (2 large interconnecting rooms each with en suite). Each unit had a balcony with views. The rooms were basic but functional. A roof top restaurant serving a buffet of curries every...

Stayed two nights at the Sharon Inn in mid-December. It was our first visit to Kandy so were booking "blind" but managed to completely luck out. The Sharon Inn is in a perfect location on a hill by the lake so has stunning views and a welcome cooling breeze at night whilst still only being a 10-minute stroll from the...
