This is a positive but mixed review, with some suggestions on getting the most out of your visit. Location: As other reviewers have noted, the location is great. Convenient to Sigiriya Rock with a beautiful view of the rock from the pool. Located at the end of a dirt road with assorted dusty tourist shops and mangy dogs. Not much...

This is in a great location close to Sigiriya Rock and there is a stunning view of it from the poolside. We loved the established gardens and the seemingly informal layout of the accommodations around the main restaurant, lounge building. The buffet was very good and the choice changed every day. Everyone is very relaxed and helpful. The hotel is...

For some reason even though its technically very cheap in Sri Lanka... its not cheap when you are a tourist. Overall this is a very nice hotel. You will stay in your own "hut" (well its not a typical hut made of wood...), very spacious and clean. I would give bathroom a bit more brushing but overall cant complaint. The...

Quiet place with a green garden filled with monkeys, birds, leguans, turtles, fireflys and all you dont see... :-) Very friendly, nice staff. Fantastic view of the rock. Cosy simple huts and great pool. The food is not great, but okay. PS: local village elephant tour nearby is expensive and not worth the money.

Place is very conveniently situated close to the Sigiriya Rock. Very peaceful, well kept and good service. Buffet food has a good variety and caters for all tastes. Staff polite and friendly. Accommodation / rooms are very good.

We enjoyed this hotel. We had two nights here and it's a good location with a nice view of the Sigiriya rock. The room was clean and comfortable. It's a nice green and tranquil setting. The things that stood out: (a) great staff members, very friendly and would good out of their way to help and (b) the food which...

We spent 3 days at the hotel as part of a discover sri lanka tour. The room was very nice, spacious, and in a good setting in lovely grounds. The food however could only be described as adequate and after 3 days we'd really had enough of it. When returning late from sightseeing on 2 occasions the food was barely...

We, had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and looked after us well. The food was good. I have stayed at this hotel before and I thought that this time the food was better than before. The garden is very beautifully laid out and I was happy to see that the management was maintaining it well....

We stayed at the Sigiriya Village Hotel with a group tour. My wife was not feeling well when we arrived. She talked with the health person at the hotel, and he prepared an herbal drink for her. Within a day she was well on the road to recovery. The buffet meals at the hotel were excellent - the best we...

This can not possibly score higher then 3 in my mind. Stayed here with my family for 2 night and this is a nice stop when visiting the rock thanks to the close distance. This hotel did not have the internet working for the 2 days that we stayed here and internet is only availiable in the reception area. The...
