This hotel is located in a small amusement area "Monster Village". Monster village is mainly for kids. The have live performances of "monsters", music, little stalls where you can buy souvenirs and food. As adults we felt a little out of place. However in walking distance you have Xitou National Forest Recreation area with several trails (easy to strenuous), Arboretums,...

The wooden hut we stayed was lovely and nice. The room is big enough with a living room. We could park the car under the hut so it is very handy. We were allowed to check in earlier. The beds and pillows are comfortable. We could sleep very well there. The price isn't cheap but we regard it is reasonable....

There are some stores around, which called Monster Village, we got to walk around and found some cute souvenirs and some good food. Our dinner was at...

Visited Xi Tou specifically for the Monster Park and found ourselves transported to Japan in an instance. Since the theme is Japanese Monster, visitors are greeted with lots of interesting "monsters" figurines, large and small, all vivid and colourful! Cool and refreshing serrounding due to it's proximity with the reserved forest, this is a very interesting resort to spend a...

The main purpose of visiting Shitou is obviously to hike and explore the park area. As such, Staying at Ming Shan is more about the convenience than anything else, since its a short 5 minute walk to the entrance of the park. Setting aside convenience, the resort itself is an odd little place, with a really strange mash-up of architectural...
