The hostel is very dirty, loud at night, wifi in rooms is non-existent. There are also random kids hanging out in the common area all the time and it doesn't feel like hostel at all. No vibe. The owner is just plainly rude, and her employees are the same. They cheat you with the tours, you are not getting the...

This hostel rates well with us as travelers looking to spend little on accommodation in order to spend during the day. The rooms were clean but poor lighting gives it a gloomy appearance at first. Kitchen is great: big fridge, filtered water dispenser (cheaper than buying in store). Breakfast is small but appreciated and tasty. The staff were courteous, helpful...

The owner and volunteers are great. I stayed here several times and it feels like family. They give helpful advice and do everything with love :) The owners really care about the guests and local atmosphere it has good vibes always.

I am livid. I've been trying to sleep for hours and I can't because there are so many bed bugs! I changed beds, and they are STILL inside all of the beds! There are tiny red ones, bigger red ones, and tiny tan ones that keep coming out of the mattresses. Also, they are playing music extremely loud downstairs (it's...

Yes, this hostel may be noisy since it is located in a veeeeeeeery center (in front of the main square), but it is like party hostel in a party place, so it is not a surprise. Just have ear plugs with you (actually a "must have" for anybody staying in any hostel especially in a dorm room) :) Also have...

absolute scam. Paid $35 each for a shuttle to San Jose and as far as we got on the "shuttle" service was to the border where they told us someone would meet us on the other side. We got through exit/entry okay but when we got to the other side there was no identifiable person associated with the shuttle service...

Rather scruffy. First thing that you notice on arrival is a smell of a cesspool, they try to cover it with a incense stick, but it doesn't always do the job, it's particularly noticeable in the mornings. Rooms are ok-ish, but there are no lockers. Well there are some lockers at the reception, but you must share it with other...

Positive - very affordable and the dorms are air conditioned very well. There is a small kitchen and a sofa and swinging chair which is ideal for having a few drinks which you can just bring in from the super market. Staff helped us to book buses etc and had good knowledge on cheap restaurants. Negative - the showers and...

The hostel is the cheapest around so I'll not discuss the cleanliness of beds and bathroom - only expect to get what you pay for. I payed for one night not knowing if I would stay longer, when signed in the lady (manager) shows me to the room and gives me the wifi password. The light wasn't working and she...
