This resort has been built with caution around the idea of ecolodging (before it was trendy), 20 years ago. It has a limited amount of bungaLows, all facing the sea, it’s unique! Don’t look for too much hand holding or organisation, you are on a desert beach with limited infrastructure, it’s perfect if you want to meet other like minded people and disconnect from world craziness. Michel and Vincent, 2 Belgians are in charge. They host lunch and diner on a big table where everyone mixes, Europeans, Americans, very diverse backgrounds. The food is exceptional! Really...considering the place and limitations, you will not be disappointed, Vincent is inventive and passionate, no shortcuts in the kitchen. The only problem is the proximity of the waves and wild life during the night…

Overall a wonderful experience! Exactly the respite my friend and I needed from our busy work lives. I only wish there was availability to extend our stay, but we had a wonderful two nights at Al Natural. Would absolutely come back in a heartbeat. Transportation: We flew into Albrook airport, and our flight was unfortunately delayed by about 3 hours. A rough start to our island getaway. Despite this, we and two other guests were greeted by a driver who drove us to the Al Natural office in Bocas Town. Aesha greeted us at the office was very helpful to us, however because of our delayed flight, we had missed the scheduled boat that was supposed to pick us up. We were given an option to pay for a private boat or hang around Bocas town for lunch and wait for the late afternoon…

To be clear, the term resort is appropriate because everything you'll need for your stay is at Al Natural. However, this is not a place where you'll find bright lights and air-conditioned amenities. The accommodations are basic, but extremely comfortable. And the food is exceptional and ample. It's a giant jump up from the backpackers' places we all stayed when we were younger and poorer. I give it my highest recommendation.

The best place we stayed in Panama and will be back. We had the double story bungalow which provided the most amazing views at the top and bottom. Food included in the stay was delicious. Access to paddle boards and kayaks is free and readily available. Highly recommend kayaking through the mangroves. The most surreal experience! A trip out to Zapatiallas is a MUST. We saw multiple sloths. In fact I would watch them as I showered and out of my bed when I woke up. So amazing. They also have monkey visitors at dinner which is fun. One last thing. Can we say hunky hunky staff. The two main guys that set up tours etc are very yummy. If I was single those two would be in a lot of trouble.

Great location, excellent snorkelling, the best food I've eaten in Panama, and a wonderful host - Vince. Simple as that! I loved it, even though we didn't get the best of weather (which is not unexpected for early December)

We chose Al Natural looking for a great secluded island vacation. We have been working hard as circus performers so we wanted to have a few days where we didn't have to think about much and take in the beauty of Mother Nature. The reviews of Al Natural are right, This place is amazing! A Beautiful location surrounded by nature and wildlife, very kind staff, great experiences, and AMAZING food. Michel was very helpful to help me find the right package for us and tips for our remaining time in bocas del toro. You have privacy when you want it, there is always a walk or a place to hang out alone and take in the beauty of the island, and there is a beautiful covered eating and social area where you can hang out, play games and get to know he fellow travelers and staff. We chose…

This place was awesome. We went there to get PADI scuba certified and hang out on the beach and around the island. The place is absolutely beautiful and the entire team of staff we're very kind and very dedicated to their jobs. Abner was our divemaster and scuba teacher, he was super fun to learn from and made me feel very comfortable with every dive. There is also a bunch and wildlife on the island as well and in the water around it. During our stay we saw monkeys (who come to the resort to get fed), Cayman, stingrays, nurse sharks, lion fish, and much more! They also organize trips, they have a full page of options, which include scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking through the jungle, fishing and more. We went fishing with a great captain, Herman, and caught some Spanish…

In spite of some communication problems when booking, we enjoyed every minute of the four days we spent there particularly thanks to Vincent, the friendly Belgian manager and talented chef: he dealt with things with the appropriate mix between efficiency and flexibility. He was confronted with 4 different guest diets one night (vegetarian, gluten free, not spicy, .... ) and managed to satisfy everybody! Because of booking problems we were upgraded to a relatively new apartment and enjoyed the extra confort. We did not do any excursion since we were there to relax and enjoy the beach but different options are offered. Beware: you're on an island, the electricity can go off some time, and this is not a luxurious five star hotel, this is much more "al natural" and we loved it that…

This is the perfect word that best represents our staying at Al Natural Resort. The view is breathtaking, but what really worths a visit here is sleeping sorrounded by the jungle and the total quiet atmosphere. If you are searching for relax and living in the nature, you definitely must come here. And we can't forget the food, Chef Vicente is constantly studying the best plates of the carribbean area!!! Thank you to the entire Al Natural Resort team!

We had the luck to stay few days in this beautiful place in the heart of the Carribean Sea. Every room is completely surrounded by nature, with a stunning view of the sea. We had some very quiet and relaxing times. Chef Vicente knows his thing and took care of us with top quality meals. Highly recommended!
