This was our 2nd stay at Bocas Ridge. We rented a 3 bedroom cottage just like on our previous trip two years ago. It was very clean, beds were comfortable, views of the Caribbean and surrounding areas were great. Food was upscale, staff was friendly. Owner, Cesar, is a "hands on" manger constantly making sure guest are happy. We definitely will go back next time. Cesar offers condos and motel style rooms also, as well as long term leases. You can also buy one of the house if you wish.

way up a twisty mtn road, not too many signs. a very nice place with a good restaurant, great beverages, pool, very nice accommodating staff and owner, calls us by name after our second stay. amazing view of bocas islands and banana port in almirante. we stay there and catch the morning car ferry to bocas so leave before breakfast. the manager made us a breakfast to go and delivered it to our room to put in the little fridge. service above and beyond. small room but good ac, comfy beds, tv, and bathroom. saw monkeys, tucans, and lots of other great birds while sitting by the pool at sunset.

We arrived here after missing the last ferry to Bocas del Toro. We were quoted quote a bit for the last apartment available but after speaking with management they reduced the price as there were 2 of us staying in a large apartment. The hospitality could not have been better. The owner Cesar spoke English and introduced himself. He told us we could leave our car for free at the hotel whilst on the islands and they would get us a local taxi or if anyone was going to the port in the morning they would take us. We had an evening meal by the pool which was lovely. A very relaxed atmosphere. The apartment was big. There was a kitchen area, bathroom with a washing machine and dryer, two bedrooms and a living room area. Very clean and well appointed. Hot water too. Breakfast was included and was basic but adequate. Bread rolls with butter and cheese and fruit with coffee and orange juice. Overall a great place to stay in the mountains. Upon leaving Cesar gave us his number in case we needed anything. Hospitality at it's finest. Thank you. …

We (2 adults & 2 boys, 6 & 8) stayed for 1 night early January, before we needed to board the ferry to Bocas Del Toro in the morning. The accommodation was nice, big apartment with the basic amenities. The kitchen was rather empty of utensils but we didn't need it except for the fridge. Bocas Ridge is an apartment complex for people to move in and live in. Since they are new, they rent like a hotel. The welcome drink was nice, but it took forever to get served. Also, some of us had their drink while the rest of us didn't. We thought that we didn't communicate well, but it was just that they were slow, and seemed not interested to serve you. We had dinner at their restaurant. Very disappointed by the service. Extremely slow service, took forever to get our food. Dishes with fish (we ordered 2 of them) were smelling fishy -pun intended! We also ordered a pizza which was good, just took forever to arrive. The included breakfast is very simple: fruits, bread, cheese and jam, and coffee. Since we were going to leave early to catch the first ferry, they packed it up for us in the evening. I am mostly disappointed that much of the hill top has been destroyed to build this complex. Now, this facility is the only one around Almirante (where you catch the ferry), so I recommend it. P.S. Almirante is dirty, small and eyes are on you/visitors.…

We were so happy to find this hotel especially after having visited Almirante at night. Caesar the owner and host was most gracious and helped us arrange for a private tour of the indigenous chocolate farm. Nice wine selection and clean , spacious rooms. By far the best hotel anywhere around Almirante.

We tried to book a unit in this resort, we agreed on a price, insisted to leave a deposit to ensure the unit. They said it wasn’t necessary and that the unit was gonna be there for us. Once we finally got there, the owner doubled the price originally agreed, adding a lot of additional costs. Not profesional at all. They take advantage of the cofactors that there are no other options around this area. We decided not to stay there, and found better option. Not recommended at all.

Response from BOCASRIDG, Gerente at Bocas Ridge Hotel & Residences
Responded 5 Apr 2018
César Romero A. 4-67-932

1. Location: located on top of the hills of Puerto Almirante with amazing views of the mountain and the ocean. 2. Room: Clean, spacious, quiet with good air condition. We stay in a two bedroom apartment with everything like home. 3. Service, the best. Mr. Romero (the owner) was a great host, upon arriving, he also provided free fruit plate for us, it is delicious. 4. Breakfast is average and free with great fresh fruit, and dinner is excellent with great value. 5. Parking, Free 6. Comments: This is an excellent place for one to two days stay before going to Isle Colon (Boca del Toro), or stay here for 1-2 weeks to enjoy the life with its beauty, quietness and great services Cesar is a graduate from New York City where I used to work and we have some in common. He loves his properties and work. It was fun to talk to him. We will recommend our friends, we also plan to come again to stay longer next time.…
