Best place in near Cerro Punta is the little cross-roads town of Guadalupe. They serve a very nice breakfast and have excellent and well-priced dinner. Very good birding can be had by walking past Finca Dracula to Cabin #9.

We booked and stayed just one night, coming from Boquete with some friends, After arriving, having a quick bite in their restaurant for lunch and hiking the area for several hours, we got a ride (in their 4x4 - a necessity!!) and stayed upstairs in cabin #4, about a 20+ minute drive over a very rocky road. Two bedrooms, a...

We are staying in nearby Cerro Punta and could walk to Guadalupe to have a bite at the 'Quetzales Lodge'. The place is very nicely decorated, the waiters very friendly and the food is delicious. We went twice, for lunch and dinner. They always change the menues, everything is tasty and fresh. At dinner, it was rainy and cold outside,...

Los Quetzales Lodge was the centerpiece of our two weeks in Panama. It is an eco-lodge, with an environmental ethic that governs their management. They try to live lightly on the path. There are rooms and suites in the Lodge, detached and private Chalets along the river, and some miles up a 4X4 road, the Cabins for wilderness experience. The...

We stayed in cabin #4 (upstairs) for three nights the end of December 2016. We had to leave a day earlier because of some mess up I did with my travel (my fault) but the lodge gladly accommodated our request. The timing was not that perfect because of the rains and chilly weather up the mountain. Nevertheless, we enjoyed every...

This is a nice lodge in a gorgeous setting. We had a Junior Suite, which was spacious and filled with light. Our balcony had a beautiful view of the valley and mountains beyond. Infinite shades of green! The food is made with super-fresh and local produce. Yumm!

Booked a 4 hour hike to see animals and birds on the trail for an 8:30 start. Arrived on time while guide prepared the snacks and hot chocolate and started off in the jeep to a road that was pretty rough but the vehicle was well equipped to get us to the location. We had to put on rubber boots...

We spent five nights at Quetzales during the rainy season. For much of our stay we were the only guests, so our experience may be atypical in many ways. We arrived in a downpour; we had reserved one of the remote cabins, but had not really appreciated HOW remote they were, and we changed to one of the "master suites",...

We just stopped in for lunch on a very rainy day when hurricane Otto was off the coast. Therefore we did not do much sight seeing. The lunch was excellent and very reasonable. My wife had pumpkin soup which she said was delicious and had their burrito which was truly outstanding. We would like to stay here another time.
