It is not what it once was. We found The Green Hotel, is decidedly in need of a massive investment: time to clean, repaint, wash, dust . Time to get new fresh uniforms for the waiters; time to buy new menus- (think the worst greasy spoon London `caff `in the days before hygiene inspectors became the norm ) We examined our booked...

I just spent 1 day in the hotel and I absolutely loved it. The hotel reminds you of old princely times. Very quiet and peaceful place. Food was very good and service even better. A perfect place for a nice vacation.

While slightly out of the centre of the town what this hotel has going for it is its gardens which offer a haven from the bustle and noise and a lovely place to eat (lunch or dinner). The food is ok - nothing special. It's also fun watching the resident population of monkeys out smart the hotel staff (even a...

My partner and I booked the green hotel following other reviews and a recommendation in Lonely Planet. The building and gardens are both lovely and takes you back to the years of British rule. Sadly our room was wrong and we ended up in a twin suite which was a shame and the beds were very uncomfortable. The room was...

We just spent 4 days at the Green Hotel and enjoyed our visit. We booked a day sight seeing tour with the hotel and had a really good and knowledgeable driver who showed us all the sights. We spent New Years Eve at the hotel where there was dinner on the lawn and bonfires lit just before midnight. The hotel...

We chose to stay at the Green Hotel because of its heritage. Its history is clearly what the hotel continues to rely on. Whilst there was nothing wrong with our stay, our room was average and the hotel staff offered minimal service (the travel desk was particularly unhelpful, being far less useful than local auto rickshaw drivers). Its location is...

The Green Hotel looks popular and it's not one we chose to stay in advance but was booked for us as part of our tour of this part of India, and principally as the start point of our train trip to Chennai. The hotel itself looks splendid. The room we were given a 'suite' consisted of a reception room, with...

We stayed here on a quick weekend away on a work trip to Bangalore and were completely charmed by the experience. Accommodating staff, peaceful gardens, and of course the beautiful building itself. We made full use of the relaxing games area and loved the feeling of having the grand old building to ourselves, even though the hotel was at full...

We stayed 3 nights in Green Hotel after a 4 hours bus ride from Bangalore to Mysore. Luckily we booked this Jewel of hotel right at the beginning of our trip to South India. It gave us a quiet and comfortable start to the sometimes chaotic and tiresome travel schedule which lay ahead of us. After a month travel we...

We stayed there one night - it should have been longer. Old building - beautiful renovated and polite team. Food (across the garden in the restaurant) was excellent, typical local Indian food - don't expect international cuisine, then you should go somewhere else. Had to change the room due to a fresh painted area. No problem for the management, was...
