Nestled close to Mumbai's international airport, the ITC Maratha is celebrated for its regal and artistic ambiance, with guests often marveling at its grand design and cultural motifs. Its luxurious amenities, including a variety of dining options, a sumptuous pool, and a spa, are frequently lauded.
However, opinions on value are mixed, with some guests mentioning overpricing and unexpected charges. While the hotel's cleanliness and service generally earn high marks for their meticulousness and attentiveness, a handful of travelers have pointed out inconsistencies in service and room upkeep.

Detailed Reviews
This hotel is beautifully built and very tastefully decorated. Design sense and care has gone into every inch of the place, with me marveling at certain pieces of furniture and decor at nearly every step, in common spaces and in our rooms. The architecture of the interior is astoundingly beautiful. We loved that rooms provide complimentary filtered water, in glass bottles, to cut down on India’s ubiquitous plastic waste. We also loved Peshawri restaurant, which provided some of the best (and most plentiful) food we’ve had in ages. The front desk, concierge, and bell staff was fantastic, including Mr. Lalit and Ms. Rashi. And finally, the hotel provided traveling guests with an on-site COVID-19 testing service at a reasonable price. It’s a great place and we will be coming back.
My one complaint is restaurant, bar, and cafe service. The service at Peshawri was true perfection, but the bar, cafe, and buffet areas have tremendously slow and innatentive service. To do simple things such as order drinks, pay our bills, and even ask simple questions, I found myself having to get up and track down a server. If this could be solved, this hotel would be a marvelous place. Regardless, I will be returning time and again, particularly due to Lalit’s truly exceptional care of us.

Peshawari is the sister restaurant of Bukhara restaurant of ITC Delhi. I have visited Peshawari a number of times. The primary reason for visiting this restaurant usually is the Signature Dal Bukhara. This was my first visit to any restaurant in Mumbai post the Pandemic.
Food:
Food as usual was good. I only had vegetarian food and everything ordered was good. I took the single diner menu. Must try dishes are Tandoori Aloo, Dal Bukhara, and phirni.
For non vegetarians, their chicken seekh and murgh malai kebab are really good. Worth a try.
Best dishes to Order:
Tandoori Aloo, Murgh Malai Tikka, Chicken Seekh, Dal Bukhara, and Phirni.
Though these are the most recommended dishes, other dishes are good too. However, in my opinion, the recommended dishes justify the price you pay here.
Service:
Service is not the forte of Peshawari. The main focus is food
Ambience:
The ambience is dhaba style and not a fine dine. But as said before, the focus is food.
POST COVID Restaurant Visit Experience:
They claim that they are functioning at 1/3rd capacity. We were a couple and were given a table of four. However, they filled up all the three tables in the section that we were given the table. I got uncomfortable by this and hence I contacted the restaurant manager for the same. They immediately changed our table. This incident made us rethink our decision to continue with our dinner, however owing to the following factors we continued our dinner:
(A) The tables were separated by six feet
(B) They changed our table and gave us another table.
(C) All the tables were separated by glass partitions.
(D) The servers were serving using special serving trays which made sure that proper distance was maintained.
(E) All cutlery and napkins were properly sanitised.
(F) We felt safe.
Final Note:
Though we had dinner, we would have appreciated a little more distancing in the small restaurant they have. The same has been communicated to the Restaurant Manager.
However my experience with social distancing in this restaurant, I may not visit another restaurant any time soon.
Reducing capacity is not enough. What is required is guidelines in terms of distance between the occupied tables.

I have been staying here for the past 12 years and the service levels have gone down over leaps and bounds. This has now become a transit hotel and nothing much to say in terms of quality and service.
I requested a non-smoking room and the check in desk told me that my request is accepted. I was however given a smoking room and I had to come down again to change it. I was told that my bag will be delivered to my new room but it took three calls and follow ups to get the bag after one hour. I was asked about the welcome drink and I requested for a coffee and told them I have a headache. The coffee never arrived.
I wanted to give clothes for pressing and the laundry person came to my room and said “Sir, double charge if you want within one hour”. I told him I need it within three hours and he took the clothes away. It was delivered to me the next day after three calls and searches.
The speciality restaurant (Dakshin) charges exorbitant rates but the food that I took was not authentic. I could smell the artificial masalas in the bisi bela bath and dried coconut powder in the chutneys. It is crazy to call these “authentic”
In the name of saving the world from plastics, everything including dental kits have to be ordered. I asked for a comb and it was never delivered even after complaints.
Pathetic service, no one in the checkout desk to apologize or to provide explanations, these people are just about making money from the travelers. I shouted at the team at the time of checking out but no one seemed to be bothered or concerned.
I am a platinum elite member and will never step into this hotel anymore. Cheap hotels charging 40 dollars a night are much better.

Our time at ITC Maratha has exceeded all expectations! This is one of the best customer services we’ve experienced in comparison to all the hotel stays. The hotel has taken exemplary measures to clean and sanitize the place due to COVID. For example, the dining tables have sanitized silverware and specially packaged plates and glasses. The elevators have special contactless technology embedded so you can access any floor through your key card. The food is beyond exotic! The servers are very personal and offer excellent food recommendations to suit our palette!
I want to drop in a special note about my interactions with Chandranath and Vijay from the front desk. I was looking for a room to accommodate three people which included my parents and me. Chandranath was very amicable and worked with me to discuss multiple options to suit my needs. He did his very best to offer so many choices and was very patient in answering all my questions. Then, Vijay personally escorted me to physically inspect two of the most luxurious rooms in the hotel that were selected by the highly accommodating and friendly Chandranath. Vijay also took time to understand our needs and made the entire stay so comfortable. He made it a point to constantly check-in on us just to make sure we were doing fine and enjoying our stay. Both of them were our personal contacts and were always available if we needed anything.
The staff here is exemplary - they hold the ITC values very high and are truly passionate about the culture. I am highly appreciative of the mentoring and coaching that each ITC employee receives. Each associate seems like a phenomenal ambassador of the company speaking and living its vibrant culture!

I stayed at the hotel in the month of August, Quarantined there for a week after arriving from Singapore. As a single traveller, and in a city I'm not too familiar with, I wanted to check into a hotel which would be close to the Airport. ITC Maratha is just 5 min away from Airport Terminal 2 (The international Airport). The room I got was spacious and beautiful (something that really matters when you're stuck inside 24/7).
I'm a hardcore non-vegetarian and the quarantine menu is supposed to be veg only. I was pleasantly surprised at how good their food was, especially desserts. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner was part of my package. Coffee and Tea were complimentary at my room and daily they would come by with a trolley of snacks and beverages to buy which was great. There was no room service because I was on Quarantine but all my requests for anything I needed were promptly attended to by Mr.Muralidhar and Mr.Ajay.
Special care was taken about hygiene and the use of sanitizers throughout the Hotel.
Overall had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Quarantine was easy here :)

Outstanding property :
We had heard a lot about ITC’s food and service and so decided to stay at the ITC Maratha hotel for a weekend trip . We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here . The hotel is very beautiful, the lobby is huge , the restaurants are a must try for sure . The staff is so polite and helpful everywhere , from checkin to dining to room cleaning and to checkout . We were in awe of this hotel as soon as we landed at the porch , the warm namaste greeting that was given by the darban with a smile and then our bags were taken by the bell boys who sanitised it and sent it to our rooms. We had filled in our pre checkin form and we only had to show the staff our arogya Setu app when we reached there . We got our keys and were ushered towards our room by the bell boy . To our surprise, we were give an upgrade by Rashpal Kaur from the reception . The room looked and felt so new , and smelt fresh and clean.
We ordered through room service , the cutlery and Crockery was covered with a safety seal . So all plates , spoons etc were sani sealed and which was very different and nice in these times . The food is simply out of the world . The chefs are brilliant , the food tastes amazing. Strongly recommend to try out their Peshawari if you are a non veg lover.
Special thanks to Mrs. Rashpal kaur .
She is veryhelpful and polite .
Thanks for making stay memorble for me and my wife .

We are vegetarians. Two back to back orders in successive weeks. Even though I stay in South bby- they delivered the food which was fresh and hot ( 99% of the times Indian food is oily, buttery and cold at home- not ITC maratha). My request was no butter on breads, nonrefuned sugar and oil in food. Food ordered and review
1. Dum phukt: subz biryani: Great flavours, not oily, as is served in the restuarant. You could have a portion of this without any accompaniment.
2. Mirch baigan salan: again, outstanding, as is in the restaurant. Lot of flavours, no oil/ghee floating. Lots of restaurants make this dish ,none like this
3. Dudhiya kabab: again very flavourful, surprisingly consuming it post 60 min preparation (travel time)
Peshawari:
1. Tandoori salad: only peshawari can do this dish as well as it does. Not soggy, had all the flavours and again not oily at all
2. Dal Bukhara: This one takes the cake. I'd requested the chef not to load with butter, certainly not on top, and keep it thick and not watery. Was a delight, paired great with pudina paratha
3. Paneer khurchan: again 100 different restaurants, including some of ITCs, make it, but none like peshawari, in terms of the flavours, masala and true khurchan taste. Again, even with home delivery- no oil/ghee
4. Gulab jamun: not too much a fan of this dish but the way they prepare it at peshawari is a 10/10
Overall, the food tasted so good, because it was fresh, hot, had flavours and no floating oil.
Thank you Chef Anshul and team Dum Phukt and Peshawari

ITC Maratha is one of the best hotels in Mumbai having the historic vibes infused with the modern amenities. We had gone for staycation on our anniversary and had a very pleasant stay. On checkin we were greeted by Mr. Vijay Pujari who was our concierge, who made sure we get the best of experience at ITC Maratha. The room was very clean and all the amenities were as expected. They have a zero plastic waste policy where all the drinking water is delivered to room in sanitized glass bottles. We had dinner at the most beautiful Peshwa Pavilion and the food was scrumptious. Don’t miss their Dahi Bhalle!!! Their garden is also great for evening walks and atmosphere is quite relaxing. Their entire team Delzine, Amanda, Vanessa, Pooja, Saili and everyone else made sure we have a pleasant stay on our anniversary.

Easily connected to Airport, approx 800 m which is reachable, when to reach the hotel well greeted by the staffs, step toward the reception and you would be assisted with courtesy and guided toward the entire hotel property. Right from coffee shop to Dum Pukht to Peshawri, you have a lot to choose for Cusine and your appetide.
Even the room are well maintained with proper and basic ameneties, hotel staffs are really helpful and you will have a pleasant stay all through out your trip.
Being a hotel with huge capacity of approx 380 rooms you can definitely be assured of getting one if booked on time, as may be you could miss one due to its close proximity to Airport and high demand.
During My visit the hotel was well lit for Christmas Celebration, and it was as if Santa was in ITC MARATHA.
