Stay at The Oberoi hotel is always been a pleasure. Stayed here for 2+ weeks and needless to say we were taken care of. Smallest of details and request were catered to. I would rate the hotel, its service and the staff 10 stars. Special mention for Remy managing the pool. There were excellent house keeping staff, Purvesh the chef in the restaurant and Satish ji.

Focus on customer service and not just monetary value is what keeps Oberoi group distinct. Please keep it up. Thank you.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have stayed at some great hotels around the world and although some of them may have been nicer than the Oberoi in terms of amenities, none of them even come close to matching it for service and the experience. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty; you are made to feel very welcome, they make a fuss about your arrival without being intrusive.

We were kindly upgraded to the next room category which overlooked part of the city and provided some amazing views of the sea; especially nice during sunset. The rooms are very spacious and classily fitted with modern furniture whilst still maintaining a classy feel. The bathtub is large and looks into the room when the privacy screen is lifted, the shower is equally as large. The skincare products provided are top quality! The bed was super comfortable. My only, very minor, comment about the room is that there is limited space to hang ones clothes, as half of the provided space is taken up by where ones suitcase would be placed and the by a set of cupboards/the safe. But that’s a very minor adjustment to accept when considering the positives.

The breakfast offering is excellent - lots of choice on the menu, just not enough time to get through all of it. The potato filled paranthas may be the best I’ve ever had. I also recommend trying to Indian spiced scrambled eggs which flavoured to perfection. Advice - head to breakfast with plenty of time if you have plans to leave the hotel, as the space in the restaurant can mean you have to wait for a table. But this isn’t a negative, what it does is give more of a restaurant feel with attentive service that doesn’t seem erratic or rushed. The food makes it worth it in any case.

We enjoyed a meal at the hotels fine dining restaurant, Ziya. Some of the food we tasted here was out of this world, if you do eat here you must try the lobster offering which was a personal favourite.

We also drank at the Eau bar which has an outdoor area with live music, there is also a live cooking station. The drinks were made really well and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

We had a slight issue whilst staying here, but the way it was resolved was beyond our expectation. We were personally taken care of by the general manager, Ms Mehta who took the time to speak with us to apologise and make right the situation. The personal touch was impressive and just adds to the positive experience that we had at the hotel. Ms Mehta and her staff were exemplary throughout our stay, genuinely interested in our day, in our trip and in ensuring we were having a great stay.

I will not hesitate to book the Oberoi any time I am in Mumbai, or wherever else they have hotels around the world if this offering is anything to go by.

My wife and I stayed here in early March, for the last days of our 3 week Tauck Tours luxury tour of India. At last we had arrived in a safe city. Good safety and hygiene had been the basis of this tour, with entry to the hotels through metal detectors, being patted down by security guards and being tested for our temperature by masked and gloved staff. A sign of these uncertain times we live in. As a highlight of our tour, we were upgraded to a suite on the 15th floor. Panoramic windows gave us the feeling of being part of the waterfront, with spectacular views across the bay. Every morning, we watched the returning fishermen cruising back to port. There were 3 televisions in the suite, including a screen in the bathroom. The decor was contemporary and covered all of our needs. The bed was comfortably firm and the bath towels were fluffy. The rooms were clean and fresh, every day. The wifi was easy to connect and always available, a first on our tour. I particularly liked the location of the hotel, within easy walking distance of the Prince of Wales Museum and lots of the historic sights. I also liked that I felt safe outside the hotel, being located in a safe area is important. Breakfast was also a highlight with a great hot food menu and a substantial buffet. I thought that the food on offer was presented very well and it was well restocked. A welcome to the restaurant by our name was a plus, as well as staff remembering our drinks order, both juice and beverage. We visited the same restaurant for a lunch and a dinner, as well. We also ate at the Trident Hotel on two occasions and found that both hotels are owned by the same company. It was explained by staff that historically, the Trident Hotel is the Father and the Oberoi Hotel is the Son. We enjoyed the food at both. When our tour concluded, we moved to another room which was on a lower floor and located on the eastern side of the building, looking towards the Trident gardens and had a city view, with a glimpse of the water. Though the room was way smaller, it still contained similar decor and the service was the same. On the next morning after breakfast, we were collected by a Tour representative and a limousine took us to the airport. To my mind, this was our most enjoyable hotel in India, catering for our needs, despite having stayed at the Vilas level, Oberoi Hotels in Agra, Jaipur and Udaipur. A stay at this hotel is highly recommended.

The Oberoi chain is possibly the top hotel group based in India, and this hotel gave the impression of luxurious space on arrival, with a huge lobby (photo) and some 18 floors. I was one of a group of 23 staying here from 2 to 5 January 2020; this report reflects the opinions of many or all of them, not just my own. The Oberoi Mumbai is very well situated for sightseeing or going for a walk. A brochure with maps of the area was available from Reception.
The Reception was generally efficient, although some in the group complained of the length of time it took for their suitcases to reach their rooms. The Oberoi has a wide range of facilities, including a gym, a spa and a swimming pool. The staff were welcoming, helpful and very attentive.
Access to my room (1675) was by a metal key. My room was typical: well equipped, with a big desk (photo) and adequate storage space (photo) for luggage and clothes (including sufficient clothes hangers), as well as a safe (photo). On arrival the safe was unusable, but this was rapidly remedied. The tour operator who had booked this hotel had promised we would have bathrobes/dressing gowns and slippers; and both were the best I have ever experienced in hotels of this standard. The light switches were clearly labelled, and the night light was appreciated. One small anomaly: at first, the Master switch did not turn off the light in the storage area – for this, the area’s doors had to be fully closed. The waste bins at the desk and in the bathroom had open tops – much easier to use.

Our Atrium Lobby is very unique with natural light that streams through the skylight and large, floor-to-ceiling windows. Also, our location is indeed the best as the views from our hotel of the ocean, Malabar Hill and Marine Drive, also called, “Queens Necklace” for its lights, are magnificent. The Marine Drive is also an ideal boulevard for leisurely walks. I have noted your feedback regarding the master switch, which we will look into as an when we plan to refurbish the rooms. Thank you very much for your positive review. The team and I look forward to your continued visits. Thank you, Kind regards, Anupam Dasgupta General Manager

I celebrated by Birthday at Oberoi, Nariman Point Mumbai. It was a fabulous and phenomenal experience. The staff are exceptionally friendly, polite and kind. They decorated my room with Balloons and provided a complimentary Cake the day I checked in and redecorated my room the next day on my birthday which really personalised my experience! ! I was upgraded to the Executive Suite for an upsell (extra)l charge of about 5000 Rs which was totally worth it. The room was Extraordinarily spacious, comfortable and effused luxury and privilege. The House Keeping staff was immensely polite and they neatly rearranged my personal belongings like toiletries and shoes, which I thought was a beautiful gesture. It has some of the finest restaurants in Bombay including a Michelin Star chef (Vineet Bhatia) crafted Menu at Ziya (Indian Restaurant) and a very cosy Bar with outdoor seating (Eau Bar). I got a discount for food (restaurants and Room Service) and Overall I had a wonderful Experience at the Oberoi. A quick Shout out to Mr Abhishek at the Reception who showed me the rooms available and helped me decide which one to choose. Mr Tanishq who showed me to my room and was very kind and helpful. Mr Divyesh, efficiently organised my Birthday celebrations and Mr Anish who is one of the finest Gym instructors in the city. I would like to especially mention and thank TPA (the house keeping boy) who was so courteous and friendly and brought up anything i asked for along with impeccably cleaning my room! A big Hug to the entire staff at Oberoi, Mumbai a hotel which will not only be known for its plush luxurious interiors but also for the warmth of hospitality and generosity from their hard working and committed staff, that makes it one of the best hotels in the city.

From the moment you walk into the Oberoi in Mumbai you are enveloped by an immediate sense of calm and peace because every single employee, from the doorman to concierge, from the ladies in the spa to the housekeepers ensure that you stay is perfect one. Your dietary requirements and likes are immediately noted at breakfast, with the chefs coming over to check that everything is to your liking (it will be- the food is sublime).
Your room is kept spotless of course, but the housekeepers go the extra mile by cleaning your glasses or (having mentioned that I hadn't slept very well the night before) by leaving a sleep spray by your bedside. The service is professional and courteous but also warm and genuine, you get the impression that the staff love working here and perform their jobs to the best of their ability.
The Oberoi really does epitomise hospitality and it really isn't surprising that they win awards on a regular basis. There are many luxury hotels in India but the Oberoi is on a completely different level. Stay here and you will understand what I mean.

On this journey we stayed at the Ritz Carlton Royal Palace, the W on the Palm, and several luxury hotels across India.  The Oberoi Mumbai has stood out above the rest and been the highlight of our trip.  The reason is outstanding service. It started with the general manager, Anupam, he arranged for a special room to celebrate our anniversary. The exemplary service continued with the front desk check in and Ankita in guest relations who outfitted our room with beautiful floral arrangements and thoughtful touches to celebrate our special occasion. In fact, every interaction with hotel staff has been top notch from housekeeping to in room dining, the restaurants, the lounge, bell staff and laundry. Not sure how they do it, but it's rare to encounter such superb service from every single member of a hotel staff. Thank you to the Oberoi Mumbai for making our first trip to India so memorable!

Agenda: stay cation

Experience- Exceptional.

If ever you want to know what Luxury service and stay is, you should visit the Oberoi Mumbai.
The minute we stepped in we were pleased to see my car sanitised and then all the other precautions like temperature check and luggage sanitation was done.

When I went to my room, we were greeted kindly by balloons on occasion of my Wife’s bday which we were celebrating over the Diwali weekend.

The in room service was exceptional so was the staff at the restaurants Vetro and Fenix.

The hotel also reposted my Instagram stories ( I mean that was wow!! Jaw dropping wow).

Staff especially Shailesh, Sahiba, Sonia and Mr Ravi helped us during our entire time and were very courteous to say the least.

All in all an excellent experience and will visit soon!

We based ourselves at the Oberoi, from where we travelled to visit / tour the sites of Mumbai. It's location at Nariman point affords a glorious view of the Mumbai skyline (weather depending, as there were times when fog / mist obscured) though traffic during the day can result in lengthy journey times. Marine drive is just outside, and a short 25 minute walk takes you to Girgaum Chowpatty, not to mention that Nariman Point is a couple of minutes down the road (be careful crossing over!!). Room was spacious, and staff only too happy to assist. We requested a change of room for a better view as the original overlooked an office-block, and they happily obliged. Breakfast was superb, with a wide variety on offer including cooked items which could be ordered off the menu. Strongly recommend the "Thai omelette". There is an outdoor pool, and there is a direct connection with the adjacent Trident Hotel. WiFi was strong, even poolside and the room had a iPod dock as well as a TV in the bathroom.

We were booked into the Oberoi for two nights, followed by a tiger safari in Nagpur, and then one more night to be followed by a cruise. We checked in at mid-day on a Monday and found no traditional check in desk. Instead, we were offered seats at a desk in the lobby and, after being offered cooling beverages, a portfolio with all our information was offered for signature. We were then escorted to our lovely room with ample storage space, and unusual amenity these days, and shown every convenience in the room. At this point, my wife asked that the lily be removed from our room because she is unusually sensitive to the aroma. No only was the lily removed it was immediately replaced with an orchid. This was done again when we returned the following Saturday.

There are simply not enough superlatives in my vocabulary to describe the hotel and its staff. Every thing we could think of was taken care of, the entire staff made us feel as if we were family, and the hotel is immaculate in every respect.

By the time we came down for dinner in the hotel restaurant, we had found out that our cruise had been cancelled. We don't know how the hotel staff got this information, possibly from one of the two other couples in the same non-sailing boat, but we were approached as we crossed the lobby and offered assistance with making alternative arrangements to get home before Covid-19 closed down air travel. I had already made those arrangements through the magic of Skype, but it was most reassuring that staff was there to support us if necessary.

We, and the two other couples returned to the hotel late on Saturday night. I did not expect a quick check in. Wrong! There was a staff member waiting for each couple and we were immediately taken to our rooms, arriving within seconds or our luggage.

I was glad to be going home, but I was not happy to leave.
