Hotel is undoubtedly at a great location. We were offered a family room on 5th floor. Many places of interest are nearby.......

Cons : Water shortage, costly compared to what is provided, bare minimum...More
The hotel is simple, but clean and the rooms are spacious. Also the staff is nice and friendly and they don't expect gratuities. Sometimes the organisation is a bit chaotic. The rooftop is really nice, you've got a good view towards Marine Drive from there....More
I chose Chateau Windsor as our first port of call on a two week holiday in India which began in Mumbai. We didn’t want anything too fancy - just somewhere clean and well located. It ticked the boxes. It doesn’t look much from the outside,...More
Chateau Windsor is well located near the Arabic sea and the main attractions of south Mumbai. It is a good value hotel, although hotels in Mumbai are pretty costly. Having breakfast on the roof terrasse is a nice experience if you've just arrived in India.
Hotel is good.the location near Marine drive and pizza by the bay our favorite places.very nicely maintained rooms inspite of being very old hotel.all the main attractions are within a five to ten minute taxi ride.

This ‘Queen’s Necklace’ is a beautiful drive along the coast of South Mumbai stretching from Nariman Point in the south to Malabar Hill in the north. The sea-facing promenade offers a favourite break time for Mumbai locals – college students, families, couples, tea & coffee vendors, foot and head massagers and photographers often flock to gossip or just gaze at the skyline. The views during the monsoons (June till
September) are particularly breathtaking. Studded with Chowpatty Beach for its lip-smacking street food, Bachelor’s for its unique ice creams and India’s oldest aquarium, at night the streetlights along this drive enhance the dramatic arch of the bay.

I think a night's accommodation is charged to your card initially, but if you contact the hotel before arrival I am confident they would accept your cash. Of course I don't know for certain. They are very helpful. Only just received your message so am sorry for the slow reply. Good luck and enjoy your time in Mumbai.
