This hotel has a great ambience, a lovely pool and the common area is very nice. It is a shame that this is all ruined by such awfully tired rooms. If the owners simply arranged for a lick of paint in all the rooms and new bathrooms, this would have gone from a 2/10 to a 10/10.

Old hotel. It's clean, comfortable and has character. The Wi-Fi is poor and only in reception area. Don't expect a lot and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It has character and the keys have bells. It's a tuk tuk ride away from the main areas and it is in a quieter gated area which is nice if you are looking to...

I can't understand the 4 star ratings of this hotel, it is without doubt the worst hotel I've stayed in. The bathroom in the room was dirty and infested with small bugs. The toilet seat In particular hadn't been cleaned for a long time. My feet were bitten over twenty times by bed bugs, the sheets didn't Cover the mattress...

On approach to the walled compound we were confronted with a swarm of tooting auto-rickshaws and motorbikes, swerving to avoid us and the wandering livestock. Thankfully, this heritage hotel offers an oasis of calm in a characterful but clearly poor area on the edge of the Old City. Our large ensuite room, situated off a charming, small inner courtyard, was...

We arrived around midnight with no booking and were made to feel very welcome. Initially the rooms we were shown we weren't very impressed with but the staff showed us some more and assured us that come the morning there would be much more choice as there was a large party checking out. True to their word we were given...

I stayed at this hotel with my daughter as part of the G Adventures Delhi to Kathmandu tour. I was enthralled by the charm and faded elegance of the hotel. The beautiful wall murals in the bedroom, the heavy wooden tour (locked with a padlock!), and the pictures on the walls appealed to me and it was easy for me...

Lovely old building in need of major renovation, so many niggerly little things. Electrical shut down at random times. Hot water stopping mind shower. Lots of mosquitoes, don't forget anti bug spray. Decor was lovely but scruffy especially in bedrooms. Beds were large with board covered by sponge mattress very firm. No tv, unusual doors and some fittings very gloomy...

This place is amazing! You feel like you are back living with Kings and Queens. The workmanship and artwork is fantastic and the food is just as good. Very friendly and clean. Close enough to walk to both markets and town. I woke up to the sound of morning prayers. It was wonderful and reminded me where I was. Highly...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (through G Adventures Tours) at Bissau Palace. When we arrived and checked into our standard room we noticed that the toilet was leaking at the base so reported it to management. The manager upgraded us to a ‘chamber’, which was absolutely gorgeous. We had a huge bedroom, sitting room and our own little balcony overlooking...

I was there on 21/02/2017 for two nights in luxury suite. I can say that the building is well kept and very very impressive. But for guests the bath room is very important and there is no reason in the world to find so much mold on the floor and the bath walls, especially for upper class hotel which cost...
