We really enjoyed our stay at the General's retreat. The rooms are very cosy and nicely decorated. Very friendly people.

This place would have to be in the 60's. The rooms are large as well as the bathrooms, The beds are hard and the poor small air conditioner would be working overtime in this heat of 43%. People where very pleasant , it is in the centre of Jaipur. After our experience in Agra and being very tired we felt... More

The General's Retreat provides you the creature comforts of a well established hotel, while treating you to the emotional comforts of home in an eco-friendly environment. A large garden and patios further add to a relaxed atmosphere. Our two night stay in a large, clean, well anointed room that accomodated my family was very comfortable. Breakfast as well as room... We spent 2 nights at the Generals Retreat; it truly is an oasis in the midst of a very busy city! Rooms are quaint - no frills. Good value; Staff were extremely friendly/accommodating; lovey large property with several patios - great for R&R after a busy day of touring! They also have the best pakoras in all of India!

Beyond the gates of the General's Retreat lies a lovely lawn area with chairs and tables where you can relax after a busy day exploring Jaipur. The guest house has a nice dining/lounge area which is good for chilling or socialising with other guests. The food was very nice - breakfast comprised of fruit, toast and omlette along with tea... The Generals Retreat is a wonderful homestay, that is very centrally located viz. viz. places to visit and shoping areas of Jaipur. We were well looked after by a warm, friendly and efficient staff and felt as though we were staying at a friends place in that we felt completely relaxed and at ease. The rooms and bath areas are... This hotel didn't honor my confirmed reservation. When I recontacted them the day before my arrival to arrange an airport pick-up, they said they had never heard of me. I sent them copies of all our email correspondence and was then told they had given the room to someone else. To their credit, they did offer me a room (without... More

I have regularly stayed at this small boutique hotel because it has become like my Indian "home ". I am looked after as though I am a member of the family & am deeply honoured that this is the feeling I receive when I am at the General's retreat. I cannot speak more highly about this place to stay in... More

We've stayed for 3 days in General's Retreat and we found this place wonderful. It's a big villa with a nice garden with well appointed and clean rooms. Breakfast is served in a light living room and the family is always ready to give advice and help the guests. I reccomend this place strongly.
