I was arriving in Darjeeling during the Puja festival season. During this time many Indians escape to Darjeeling. Hence, it was quite hard to find accommodation. At least the Crystal Palace offered a room after some bargainig, but still too expensive. The rooms are basic, apparently the restaurant never opens and during the night it was very noisy.

We have booking two delux rooms from internet, But it was good enough than our expectation. Hot Water takes 30 minutes, but it may be due to cold weather. Hotel staff is very co-operative and helpfull. they have arranged sight seeing for us. Our package was including breakfast. Breakfast was also good enough.
