The rooftop views at Andys are unreal! Instead of going to tiger hill, we watched the sunrise and sunset from their roof. Clean room as comfy bed. No heating although we very rarely found places (hotels as restaurants) that did have heating. Matilda is a sweetie!! Overall a great spot close to chowrasta and away from all the hustle bustle

Stayed at Andy's for 8 nights overall and loved it. Beautifully simple, very comfortable and at a convenient location. The viewing platform is a very good / less effort intensive alternative for viewing the mountains at sunrise. Rather than waking up at 4 and paying to go to Tiger Hill with the rest of the wolrd, I woke up at...

I arrived happy to learn they had a room available after being turned down by several other hotels, or finding them too expensive. Andy, and the lovely lady who run the guesthouse are very nice. I was surprised to find the room to be so large, and even more surprised to find it had a private bathroom. Everything was very...

Entering Andy's makes you lower your voice, breath free, sigh and feel like coming home. Instead of TV or wifi you can experience tremendous prana energy of HimalaYas in Bengal, Nepal, Sikkim, Tibet, Assam and Nagaland from Panorama Platform on top of Upper DJ

The rooms were very clean with lovely thick blankets and duvet, an excellent library and reading area with a lovely rooftop terrace (I think you almost have as good a view from the rooftop as you do from tiger hill). However the rooms were not overly sound proof (we have a small child and felt bad for the other guests...

We really enjoyed staying at Andy's. You don't come across such a nice and CLEAN accommodation in Darjeeling (stayed at two other hostels which had spiderwebs all over the place) as this place. Mrs Gurung is a lovely little lady and makes you feel more than welcome. Great laundry service, you receive your clothes the same evening. The only downside...

Large light rooms with view of hills, comfortable beds and western ensuites. The common room is a great place to relax and meet others. Quiet at night, making it easier to wake at 5 am to visit the roof top: 360 degree view of Darjeeling and on some clear early mornings also Kanchendzonga! 600 / 700 Rs per room for...

I stayed at the guest house for 4 nights last autumn. It's clean and quiet, the room was tidy, beds with thick blankets so you won't be cold. The owners are very nice people. There's hot shower which is really important when it's only 15C or even less at night. Only ask mrs Gurung when exactly she turns hot water...

The rooms are spacious and tidy, but there aren't any other amenities. It's an ideal place for budget travelers, though. The walls between rooms are thin and there isn't always hot water. Mrs. Gurung is a very nice lady and extremely welcoming.

I stayed in 3 different guesthouses in DJ in search of hot water, this was my final stop. The prices in the LP are way off, expect to pay 600 rupees min, but if there's two of you it's worth it. No wifi or amenities, just nice refurbished rooms with modern western bathrooms and a lovely old Goan couple that...
