Actually its one of the rare kind of hotels which I don't want to review as I do not feel good writing nasty things about any property. But I have a moral obligation [ being a traveler myself ] to alert tourists . Avoid this place - its actually pathetic , railway platforms are more good nowadays in India ....

Read about hotel in Rough Guide. As we approached, local guy walked with us. We informed reception that we had found the place without the help of this man. The bathroom was complete filth, the bed was dirty and the staff at reception were rude. I've stayed in many hotels during 10 years of backpacking trips in...

Positives:- 1) Located in central place 2) Affordable rates 3) Easily accessible from howrah junction. Negatives:- 1) Rooms are bit small. 2) Cleanliness is another issue. 3) No inhouse restaurants , food has to be ordered from outside.

Not recommended. The room was small and dirty for what it was worth. During the 3 nights I stayed there, no house keeping- not that I was expecting a high class service in a so called budget hotel- no one came to even sweep the floor. They changed the bed sheet on the last night after much request. The men...
